My Alpha's Vengeance

I flinched when my knees fell on the floor after I received a kick at the back of my knee. Alpha Lucian who is sitting in front of me had a look full of disdain. His dark eyes were staring down at me like a devil who wants to give the most painful torture possible to his victim.

Alpha Lucian is now the new alpha of Moonblaze pack, the pack my father ruled for decades. Together with his people, he seized our pack one night while my father and brothers were celebrating my father’s birthday.

My father was a friend of Alpha Benedict, Lucian’s father and the former alpha of our pack. But thirteen years ago my father betrayed Alpha Benedict and killed everyone in his family, except Lucian who managed to escape with some of his father’s men. Now that Lucian had gathered enough strength and people, he came back for revenge and to get what is rightfully his.

I felt bad when I found out my father was killed and my brothers were suffering inhumane torture from Lucian’s people, but I couldn’t bring myself to fully sympathize with them because I always knew they were cruel and cold-blooded. I know because they never treated me as a daughter or a sister.

They never allowed me to go outside the house and I often received beating from them because they hated me. They didn’t like me because I wasn’t born normal. At the age of fifteen, werewolves are supposed to be able to shift into their wolf forms, but now I’m almost twenty and I still can’t shift.

“This is Elisa, Alpha Lucian,” said the man who dragged me to the Alpha’s room and the one who kicked me down the floor. “She is the only daughter of Alpha Frederick. She is weak and wolfless unlike her brothers, but she is quite a beauty. I suggest you satisfy yourself with her before we torture her to death.”

Tears swelled in my eyes.

“Leave,” Lucian dismissed the man and now we are left alone in his dark and cold room.

Kneeling in front of him with my hands clutching my dress, I trembled. Physical pain wasn’t new to me as my father and brothers loved beating me for small mistakes, but no man had ever forced me to his bed before. The fear I am feeling now is different from all kinds of fear I have felt before.

This man… I can see pure wrath in his eyes and feral desire for vengeance.

“Nice to meet you, dear Elisa,” his tone was sweet but it made my heart pound in so much fear.

He pushed my chin up with his finger as he crouched from his seat. He stared at me with his face an inch away from mine.

“Stand and strip. I want to see if your bastard father did a good job raising a whore for me to ravage.”

My eyes widened in fear. He glared at my pouring tears and held my elbow harshly to pull me up. I flinched at his rough grip on my skin.

“N-no, please-“

“Shut up! Your father never showed mercy when he killed my whole family! And your fucking brothers?” He smirked cruelly. “They turned my father’s people into slaves and tortured them! And you are begging me to spare you?” He shook his head, not an ounce of mercy can be seen in his bloodshot eyes. “That is not gonna happen, wolfless girl.”

“Now strip if you don’t want me to do it for you.”

As the black sheep of my family, all my life I’ve been receiving humiliation. But at this moment, I don’t just feel humiliated. I felt like my dignity was stepped on, and my honor as a woman is being forcibly taken away from me.

“Strip!” His voice thundered, making me flinch in fear.

I know it sounds a lot better to die than to be ravaged by a vengeful man like Lucian especially when the odds are high that he will give me to his men later on when he’s done with me.

But some of my father’s people, the good ones, are out there fighting for their lives, thriving under the rule of Lucian’s people. I can’t just leave them, especially my five year old nephew, Rafi. I know he’s alive. He needs me.

So I need to do this. I need to live.

I swallowed hard and sucked in my breath. My trembling hand went to the front buttons of my dress.

I closed my eyes as I felt the dress slip off my body, my tears rolling down my face.

The cold enveloped my body and although I am still wearing my undergarments, I felt completely naked in front of Lucian.

I was about to take off my brassiere because I knew he would yell at me again if I won’t do it, or worse, hit me. But he spoke.

“Stop.”

When I opened my eyes, I didn’t see him staring at me. He’s looking down at the floor. I traced his gaze and found out his eyes are on my pink handkerchief with an embroidered lilac lotus in it and my initials. EL which stands for Elisa Lanford. It was in the pocket of my dress and must have fallen out when I took off my dress.

‘’Is that handkerchief yours?” He met my gaze again, but this time a glint of something crossed his dark eyes, like a glint of familiarity as if he remembered a distant memory.

“Yes…” she croaked.

His jaw clenched and looked away.

“Get dressed and stay here,” he said coldly before storming out of the room.
