As Alex drove us towards the airport , the tension in the car was palpable. The rain poured heavily, obscuring the road ahead, and thunder rumbled ominously in the distance. The weather seemed to mirror the turmoil in my heart as I desperately tried to reach irene, only to be met with a constant "call failed" message.
