28. I'M SO SORRY

It was a Monday morning like I'd never had.

As much as working with a top hospital had its perks, there are downsides as well. One of which is me being bloody numb and unable to feel my fingers.

I've had a morning filled with the flipping of papers and looking into different scans while attending to outpatients. Now that it's lunch, I'm too lazy to go to the cafeteria to go eat, even though my stomach is rumbling in opposition to my lethargy. I do not mind it though.

I still make my way to the bunk room, which is closer than the cafeteria, and throw myself on one of the beds, after taking off my coat. I'm thankful the lower part is not occupied.

In fact, the entire room is empty and I suppose everyone else is having lunch or maybe they are engaged. The room smells faintly of an uneven mix of antiseptics and detergents. Perhaps, the cleaners were here not long ago.
