At age 10"Let her go now". Ethan growls at my dad and I see him taking a challenging step towards my dad."Why is he acting like this?" My mom asks while looking between Ethan and I."Do you think? .....Oh no, Oh no no no. They have not even shifted yet". Ethan's Mom Ashley gasps and covers her mouth while looking between my dad and Ethan's dad.I see my parents looking back and forth between Ethan and I, but I am to distraught and anxious to care what they have to say about us. I just have an overwhelming urge to be near my best friend Ethan."This can not be happening! This can not happen! My son is a future Alpha! We have to do whatever we can to stop this! Yes we must stop this". Alpha Kai glares at me. " Go get the witch. This can not happen. THIS IS A MISTAKE." he growls at his wife.Ethan growls and breaks out of his dad's hold and wraps his arms around me." Mia please stay with me. Don't go". he whimpered into my shoulder but he is yanked away from me."Ethan, please don't take him away from me". I beg."This can not and will not happen ever. "Alpha Kai growls out.My dad drags me to the car while I am kicking and screaming then he throws me into the backseat. My mom sits beside me and holds me while my dad starts the car to drive away. I see Ethan from the car window being pulled away by his dad by his shirt collar. He is scratching at his dad's hand to get away but he does not succeed.I bang the car window and cry as I really want to be by my best friend. I am not sure why they do not want to let us stay close to each other and I don't want to stay away from Ethan. The mere thought of being away from him breaks my heart. He makes eye contact with me one more time before my dad speeds down the road away from my best friend. My Ethan.I mouth to Ethan 'I'm sorry' before I feel something prick my neck and it really hurts but not more than the pain of being away from Ethan. My eyes start to drift close,I have no idea what is happening just that my heart is broken and I don't even know why and withy eyes finally close.

MIA'S POVThe stopping of the elevator makes Ethan pulls away.We make eye contact and he grabs my hand pulling me into his room. I look around shocked by the apartment as he's practically living in luxury while my friends and my friends and I are living in a shack compared to his room. Forget my friends. Not now. I try to let go of Ethan but he refuses."Ethan stop. My friends are probably worried". He ignores my statement and pulls me onto a couch. He sits down and I straddle his lap. My mouth opens to protest but he starts peppering kisses along my neck again and I melt into his embrace. "Fuck Mee. I've missed you so much". he whispers along my skin. A moan escapes me as he kisses along the crook of my neck where my mate will mark me. He hands are gripping my waist as I grind into his hard member.

ETHAN'S POVI take a sip of my whiskey feeling slightly buzzed when Liam elbows me and points to the crowd. It's Edward and he's making out with some she-wolf but according to how he described his mate, she's not it. The girl shoving her tongue down his throat has red hair and is wearing a blue sparkly dress. I take a deep sigh. " I feel sorry for whoever his mate is". Liam points to another spot in the crowd. " I think that's her but I'm not sure. She doesn't look like she cares about Edward though". I look at the spot he's pointing at and sees the back of a brunette. The girl has long wavy brown hair, a tight back dress and black boots. She is dancing alone. Unlike me, she looks like she is having the time of her life and for some reason I feel this pull to go to her so I stand up. "I'm going to talk to her". MIA'S POVAfter dodgeball, we go eat lunch then head back to our cabin and we take turns showering and gets ready for the night. Rhea made some new friends while she was on the sidelines and they told her about a bonfire tonight and we decided to go. Layla is reluctant to go but after been promised free beer,she changed her mind. MIA'S POVWe all take our bags to our room and start unpacking. I offered to share space with Layla but she said she only brought one bag and does not plan on unpacking. After unpacking, Rhea suggested we should walk around and get familiar with the place and I agree as I've been feeling anxious since we arrived though I'm not sure if it's being in a new place or all the different wolves around. Hopefully, a walk will help. Once outside, we pass many other cabin that looks like ours. ETHAN'S POVMost wolves can sense their mate after they turn eighteen but being of Alpha blood I should have been able to sense her after my first shift at thirteen, My mate might not have been able to sense it yet but I would know and I've been disappointed ever since hoping I would have met her by now.
