LOGINHayley has always been certain she’s straight. Until she sets her eyes on her bestie's twin. Narnia is everything Hayley shouldn't crave—athletic, confident, dangerously charming, and blessed with the kind of blue eyes that makes Hayley breathless. One look is all it takes. Now Hayley can't stop staring. Her body can't stop responding. She tells herself it's harmless. Just dry spells. That the strange heat surging through her whenever Narnia gets close will eventually disappear. It doesn't. And Narnia notices everything. Then came the summer getaway at a private vacation house where everything went down. Hayley finds herself spending weeks under the same roof as the one girl she can't seem to resist. At first, Narnia only wants to prove Hayley isn’t as straight as she claims. So she invades her space at intervals, lets their hands brush, and leans in just close enough to make Hayley question everything. But somewhere between the teasing and stolen glances, Narnia starts falling too, questioning why she's falling for the one person she should consider off-limits. With the long summer days, late nights, lingering looks, and a palpable tension that cackles around them, it became harder for their fully charged bodies to keep up. Because eventually, the longings and intentional brushes won't be enough. Someone will have to make the first move. Then the real reason for Narnia's homecoming came to the limelight. It turns out that she is running from a crime that took place in the college where she is studying, right when the two love birds were caught in their web of love. She's arrested as all the evidence points to her. How will Narnia escape the crime she didn’t commit? And what happens to the two lovebirds that a frame up is trying to tear apart?

"Good evening, Mum."
I cheerfully greeted my best friend's mum, who opened the door as I stepped into the sitting room, trying to shake off the anticipation swirling in my stomach.
"Good evening, sweetheart." She beamed, giving my shoulders a warm squeeze. Nimona is in her room." She added before disappearing down the hallway to the guest room.
I smiled back as I padded across the sitting room.
Nimona and I had clicked within six months of meeting at an art workshop, and we’d been inseparable ever since. She always talked about her twin— how identical they were, how strict the private college she attended was, and how she was the rebellious one.
But hearing about a twin and seeing one were two very different things.
Last night, over our usual night chat, she had told me her twin was back for the summer. And here I was, eager to set my eyes on her replica.
When I pushed open Nimona’s bedroom door upstairs, she was sprawled on the carpet, frowning intensely at a half-finished floor puzzle.
"What catastrophic issue requires a puzzle today?" I asked, leaning against her doorframe, my denim skirt riding higher than usual.
Nimona looked up sharply, her face instantly lighting up. "Hey, you!" She leapt to her feet and threw her arms around me. "I wasn't expecting you today!"
"Just wanted to surprise you," I lied, not wanting to admit that I was actually here because I wanted to meet her twin.
"Great. You're in time for—" she started before the interruption.
"Hey, Nims..."
A deep, low voice reverberated from the hallway, and the air in the room instantly shifted.
A girl stepped into the doorway, casually resting against the frame. My breath hitched. She was looking every inch like Nimona, but in a masculine body. Same sharp facial features, same bright blue eyes—but that was where the similarity ended.
This girl was taller, with broad shoulders and a lean, athletic build that showed more in the sports bra she wore. A hint of black ink curled up the side of her throat, disappearing to her back. She didn't just walk into a room; she possessed it.
And damn, she had a tattoo!
Narnia. Her name sounded in my subconscious. I remembered Nimona calling her name on a few occasions.
"Do you mind lending me your highlighter, gorgeous?" She asked, her gaze sweeping past Nimona and landing directly on me. Her lips curled into a slow, deliberate smile. "And who’s your friend?"
"Hayley," Nimona said, waving a hand between us. "Hayley, this is Narnia. Twin sister, menace to society, back for the summer. Narns, Hayley is my best friend, and ride or die." She finished with a wink that made me even more flustered.
"Heaven," Narnia murmured, ignoring her sister entirely. Her blue eyes locked onto mine with an unreadable, heavy intensity that sent a sudden, traitorous shockwave straight down my spine.
"It's Hayley," I corrected, forcing my voice to stay calm despite the sudden heat crawling up my neck.
"I know," she drawled, her gaze dropping to my lips before rising back to my eyes. "Heaven suits you better."
"Ignore her, Hayls," Nimona snorted, grabbing a highlighter off her desk and throwing it at Narnia with a feigned glare.
"Your charm won't work on her."
“Oh really?” Narnia's brows arched. "Why so?" I didn't miss the amusement that colored her tone.
Nimona rolled her eyes. Because she's straight. Now shoo!"
Narnia caught the highlighter casually, her eyes never leaving mine as she backed toward the door with a smile.
"If you say so, Nims," Narnia murmured, her voice laced with quiet amusement. Then, in a low voice—low enough for only me to catch— she added, "Or so she thinks."
Nimona rolled her eyes, oblivious to the heat lingering in the air and her last words that had started a staccato beating of my heart. "She’s insufferable, I know. Do me a favor and fetch me a cup of warm milk from downstairs? My head is pounding." She added the last part with a pleading look and a pout.
"Sure," I muttered, glad for an excuse to escape the room that was suddenly heated.
I headed down the stairs, trying to shake off the effect Narnia’s deep voice surprisingly had on me. But when I pushed open the kitchen door, my heart hit my throat.
Narnia was sitting on the breakfast bar, headphones resting around her neck, scribbling into a notebook.
For a full minute, I stood there, contemplating whether to just turn back or forge ahead, but my eyes trailed down her joggers and sports bra-clad body on their own accord.
"At this rate, you're going to bore a hole through my skin," she drawled, her voice smooth and low, cutting into my daydream.
I froze. "What? I wasn't staring." I lied, just as she turned to look at me. Her gaze swept through me, sharply, but it was enough to make my heart jump.
"Right." Then hopped off the stool and strode towards me, her steps slow and predatory. "You were just admiring the view."
My lips twitched. "You're very full of yourself," I hedged, heading towards the kitchen cabinet.
Narnia now stood against the kitchen island, her brows arched. "And you're awful at pretending you're not into girls."
"I'm not!" I croaked, swallowing at the thickening of the tension that surrounded us.
"Really?" She took another step.
My breath hitched, every instinct screaming at me to move, but I was completely rooted to the spot.
"Hayls!!" Nimona called from upstairs, dragging me out of my thoughts. "How's the glass of milk coming along?!"
I bit back an eye roll. "Coming right up!" I called back, using that opportunity to turn towards the kitchen cabinet again to fetch the glass cup.
But when I sighted the location of the cup, I bit my lip.
It wasn't so high, but I couldn't reach it without jumping up, and my denim skirt....
Let's just say, it would leave little to be desired. And don't get me started about my hanging top.
"Need help with that?" Her voice sounded in my ears, laced with amusement.
"No, thank you." I spat back, not bothering to glance at her. After riling me up, she had no right to be amused.
"Just don't think you would want me seeing more of those luscious thighs of yours."
Blood surged downward at her words, and so did pressure.
I bit hard on my lips before bringing myself to turn.
She was staring at me with an amused expression, hands folded over her sports bra and giving me a peek of her ample breasts.
Taking another gulp, I sharply averted my gaze. "Wanna do the honors then?" I spat out, flicking a glance at her face.
"With all pleasure." She muttered as she closed the remaining distance between us in powerful strides.
"Although I don't mind watching you jump to get it." She added, winking at her last word.
I parted my lips to take a few breaths, her body heat hitting my skin without hesitation.
Then I watched her stretch her arms, blessing me with the view of her toned arms and the traces of biceps.
God, it was suddenly hot in here...
I took a painful gulp as I looked away, totally sure that something was wrong with me.
Then her body brushed mine as she turned, reminding me of our closeness. She didn't hand me the glass; instead, her gaze flickered to my chest and stayed there.
"Stop... looking at me like that." I rasped, hating the heat that surged through my insides at her intense gaze.
"Like what?" She asked, her voice possessing that husky edge that made everything inside me jump.
"Like you want to eat me up."
She tsked, biting on her lower lip, her gaze turning heavy-lidded. "Well...do you want me to?"
She was still biting her lower lip sensuously, inching closer to me till nothing was holding her back, except for my consent.
That fire blazing through my core intensified, blinding my senses to the point that it was all I could do not to crash my lips against hers.
Really shocking!!
"Hey, twins!" Her mum's voice echoed in the hallway, stopping me from plunging myself into a path I might not return from.
I stumbled against the table just as Narnia took several steps back, turning towards the sink.
Her mum walked in a few seconds after, her eyes beaming with excitement.
"Where's Nimona?" She asked, alternating her gaze between me and Narnia.
"Upstairs..." We both echoed simultaneously before exchanging glances.
"I'm here." Nimona's voice sounded in my ear, sending me into a complete nervous overdrive. The milk!
She strutted in right behind her mum, looking between the two of us with a narrow, curious glance. "Where's my glass of milk, Hayls?"
I opened my mouth to give any excuse that dared escape. But Narnia appeared in my line of vision with the same glass she had retrieved from the shelf. But this time, it was filled to the brim with milk.
"Here..." She handed the glass to Nimona, whose gaze on me had turned quizzical.
"Anyway..." Her mum started, oblivious to what was going on. She was gesturing, which meant that whatever she wanted to say would be exciting.
"Your dad and I have decided to go easy on you girls this summer..."
Huh? I glanced at Nimona, who had directed her quizzical gaze to her mum.
"We are sending you girls off to a few weeks' getaway at the vacation house..." She said, imitating that fanfare motion.
"And all your friends are invited. Especially you, sweetheart." She said the last part while gazing fondly at me.
Crap!
At that moment, my gaze flickered to Narnia, who had a mischievous smile plastered on her lips as s
he stared at me.
A distinct buzzing sound started somewhere in my ears.
A few weeks with Narnia under the same roof? Does the universe not have a sick sense of humor?
Narnia I wasn't a fan of getaways and hangouts, especially with people who were as loud as hell, but anything to bring me closer to Hayley, I was down for it. Not that I was remotely interested. Yeah, she was hella attractive, catching my eye instantly. But that was just all. I had seen beautiful girls before, but none had sustained my attention the way Hayley did. Maybe it had to do with the way she looked at me. As though I was this piece of a puzzle she wanted to solve, but at the same time scared to dive in.She might have fooled everyone about being straight, but I knew straight girls when I saw one, especially from their cold vibe, but Hayley... Her vibe was on a different frequency, pushing me into her space even when I clearly didn't want to. I loved puzzles, I loved finding out whether I was wrong or right about an assumption. In this case, I only came down here because of one thing...to prove that Hayley wasn't as straight as they come. No matter how much she tried to pr
Hayley Paradise it was; I couldn't agree more. Immediately after I alighted, my gaze spanned the massive green pool that lay by the side, glittering under the afternoon sun, before sliding up to the building right in front of me. It was a bungalow, but massively built with its width, covering a mass of land, and height almost seeming like an upstair building. The decorations of the surroundings were enough to make my breath catch, and so was the fountain that overlaid the other side, as well as the other side of the building that wasn't fully in view.I didn't realize I was staring with my lips parted till Nimona reached out and covered my mouth with her palm, chuckling slightly."Come on, bestie. It's not that majestic." She said, laughing lightly.I took my gaze off the magical building to stare at her, facing morphed into shock."That's what you think." The next minute we were dragging our suitcases out of the trunk. I tried my hardest to avoid Narnia's proximity till I had cont
Hayley I tried every excuse in the book to get out of the trip. I brought up my summer photography project, my home chores, and even claimed my mum would never let me sleep away from home for two weeks. But those excuses vanished the moment Nimona’s mum called mine. Hearing my mother giggling and eagerly agreeing over the phone sealed my fate."Universe, fuck me," I muttered the next morning dejectedly, shoving outfit after outfit into my small suitcase.I loved getaways—especially with the fact that I haven't been to the family’s vacation house. But I'd seen the picture. The pool was inviting. And don't get me started on how fancy the house was.I should be hella excited, right? But not when that dangerously sexy twin of Nimona's was hovering around threateningly, invading my personal space like it was normal. And what's worse, I was suddenly finding it hard to establish boundaries. Not when my whole body seemed not to belong to me anymore. And now, we would be spending a few week
