Ch21: Dave's fiancee

I licked my lips and chuckled. “I am not a child anymore. I can do that on my own,” I said, and looked at the plate of food on the table. I had just taken milk since I ate yesterday in the morning. I was still so hungry.

Dave chuckled. “To me, you will just be a tiny little girl,” he said and handed me the plate. “Here, unless you eat more and get some meat.“

I chuckled again, but began eating with relish. I felt like someone who had never eaten since they were born!

After breakfast, Dave left for the company. He told me that I could call him when I needed anything. Zack was also not in the house, so, I felt a little relaxed.

After staying in the room for a long time, I felt like I needed to take a walk outside. Auntie Benta showed me the backyard and told me that I could relax there if I wanted to.

“The backyard is nice. It makes you relaxed,” she said with a warm smile. “Take a walk around, I will call you when lunch is ready.“

I nodded in appreciation. “Thank you, Auntie,” I said
