Ch20: He was hugging me

Dave sat at the edge of the bed and carefully observed her. And in his heart, he admitted that she was very beautiful.

He hurriedly shook his head when he caught his line of thoughts again. 'What is wrong with you, Dave? You have to focus!' He admonished himself.

He turned away from her. Maybe if he had not been looking at her face, nothing like that would have crossed his mind. Still, he was very confused.

He sat still for a long time, trying to wonder why things were changing. Did something happen to him? Could it be that his hatred and disinterest in women was gone?

His line of thoughts was interrupted when he heard a sound from the bed. Turning to look, he froze in place.

“Mia…” he called in fear as he leaned closer to her. “What is wrong?“ He asked. The girl had her face covered in tears, even though she was still asleep.

She looked hurt, scared and in pain. He quickly held her hand and looked at her face again. “Stop crying, Mia…” he said and tried wiping away her tears.
