Chapter 60 A Better Wake-Up Call Than Coffee

작가: Sathara
Christine's P.O.V.

“I think it’s too late now,” I murmured, peeking out the window after dinner. The kids were already in their pajamas, ready for bed. “It looks like it’s going to rain. It’s not safe to drive back home with Martin.”

“Are we sleeping here?” Martin asked, just as thrilled as the triplets. Seeing that boy smile filled my heart with warmth. Something told me he deserved all the love he’d been denied, and I was more than willing to give it to him.

“I don’t know…” Elliot said, moving toward me with that dominant, predatory air of his, like a panther stalking its prey. I instinctively stepped back. “Are you inviting us to spend the night?”

“I suppose it’s fine for one night,” I replied, just as the kids dragged Martin toward the bedroom, laughing all the way. Elliot leaned on the doorframe and tilted his head toward me.

“Don’t worry. There are plenty of spare rooms. The kids never use theirs.”

“Sleeping surrounded by plush dinosaurs doesn’t sound like my ideal night,”

  • My Billionaire Ex Begs: Return with Our Triplets   Chapter 70 To Lucas

Elliot's P.O.V.Lucas stared around in horror, his jaw nearly hitting the floor as he watched the kids tear through the apartment like wild animals. Martin was the only one sitting calmly on the couch, quietly observing the chaos while the triplets waged what looked like an all-out war zone.“Four? Seriously?” he asked, backing up like he’d just spotted a pack of wolves. But it was already too late for regrets.I grabbed him by the collar and yanked him closer.“They don’t know they’re biologically mine. Watch your mouth, or I’ll cut out your tongue,” I said under my breath, giving him the sharpest glare I could muster.“God, you’re all threats. Is that how you won over their mom? With intimidation?” he scoffed, smirking like the idiot he was. “No wonder you’re such a ladies' man. Makes total sense now.”His sarcasm was insufferable. That smug grin made me want to knock the teeth right out of his mouth.“I don’t have time to argue with you,” I muttered, already halfway to the do

  • My Billionaire Ex Begs: Return with Our Triplets   Chapter 69 A Tribute

Christine's P.O.V.A sharp pain throbbed in my head, my vision blurred with tears, and the taste of piña colada clung to the back of my throat. My legs felt weak, my skin cold with sweat. I fumbled for my phone, my fingers trembling. What was happening to me? This wasn’t jealousy—it was something else. Something worse.I managed to scroll through my contacts and tapped Elliot’s name. If he didn’t pick up… maybe it was because he was still talking to that gorgeous blonde sitting just a few feet away.I didn’t want to care. I told myself I didn’t. That was the line I clung to, the shield I used to protect what little pride I had left. I tried to hate him for everything he had done while we were married, for forgetting about the kids, for showing up here and spending time with another woman. And yet, the pain in my chest wouldn’t let me breathe. The phone rang. I pressed my lips together, feeling my arms growing heavier by the second. That’s when I saw him—Henry, descending the stair

Christine's P.O.V.I shifted uncomfortably on the couch, scooting away from Henry as I picked up the portfolio resting on the table. It was one of those glossy model catalogs, filled with pristine photos and flattering angles. As I flipped through the pages, he leaned in again, and I was this close to smacking him in the face with the folder. Not the best move, I reminded myself. That could seriously backfire.Yes, I knew there were dozens of modeling agencies out there. He wasn’t the only option. But if I pissed off this “refined gentleman”, what would happen then? He’d probably run his mouth and blacklist me in the industry faster than I could blink. He had that Darius kind of power, only worse. Was I really in a position to risk that?“You don’t need to worry about anything,” he murmured, brushing the back of his hand over my shoulder. His gaze was laced with something lecherous. 'Please, sir, the only thing rising at your age should be your blood pressure,' I thought, forcing

Christine's P.O.V.Elliot’s car was a beast, just like him. The moment I tapped the accelerator, it shot forward like a rocket, covering three blocks before I even realized it.While waiting at a red light, I glanced toward a boutique with warm lights glowing from inside. The soft lighting made the clothes look luxurious and inviting. I caught sight of my reflection in the glass—my hair was a mess, my makeup had all but vanished, and I looked like I’d just walked out of a stuffy office. What a disaster.Without thinking twice, I pulled over and stepped into the store. It felt strange, seeing Serena’s designs displayed alongside my own. I smiled without meaning to, my fingers trailing along a sleek black dress I had helped her create. It was sophisticated, but versatile—the kind of dress you could wear to a club, a girls’ night out, or even a date. Elegant but still fun. It was perfect.I bought the dress and a pair of matching heels and decided to wear them out. The change was ins

Christine's P.O.V.“It was foolish of me to believe you'd ever put them first,” I said coldly, trying to contain the bitterness rising in my chest.“What? What are you talking about?” Elliot looked genuinely confused, maybe even hurt.“I don’t know what you were trying to prove or what game you were playing, but you failed. Because of your carelessness, that lunatic got close enough to hurt them. I won’t risk my children just because you want to be near us. They will always come first—before you, before me, before anything.“So… say your goodbyes. You’re fired. I’m hiring a real nanny—someone responsible, someone who doesn’t get distracted by random women and forget to pick up my children.”“Christine, you can’t do this to me,” he said through clenched teeth, keeping that calm, icy tone that could freeze the air around us. “The contract—”“I don’t give a damn about the contract!” I snapped. That was when the fear finally crashed over me like a wave. I’d been holding it in, trying

Christine's P.O.V.Elliot and I ended up at the police station. I hated how all the officers kept reporting everything to him while I paced the floor like a madwoman. At this rate, I was going to carve a trench into the tiles.“We've found them…” one officer began. He didn’t even get to finish before I was already in front of him, eyes wide and demanding answers.“Where?”“At the mall. The security team has them under watch.”That was all I needed to hear.I bolted, not waiting for another word, but Elliot’s long legs got him ahead of me, and by the time I caught up, he was already opening the door to his damn Bugatti.“We’ll get there faster this way,” he said, knowing full well I didn’t want to ride with him, but he was right.Without hesitation, I climbed in. The scent of leather and tobacco wrapped around me the second the door shut.As Elliot got in, I caught another whiff—perfume. Feminine and nauseating. My stomach twisted, but I didn’t say a word. This wasn’t the time
