A few days later...

Scarlett sat in a wheelchair. She was a bundle of nerves while Griffin pushed her forward. He had checked on her at the hospital for the last few days and showered her with gifts. There was a teddy bear in her arms that she wouldn't let off, no matter how silly.

"Sir, should I help Miss Greyson into the car?" A bodyguard asked Griffin once they were outside next to his black SUV.

"No, I got this," Griffin effortlessly picked up Scarlett and placed her in the front seat along with her crutches.

She shyly met his eyes once she sat comfortably. "Thank you again for doing this. I will forever be in your debt."
