Chapter 21

I woke up to the sensation of being crushed. I wriggled, pushing my shoulder backward. Ashton shifted his weight off of me slightly. He was spooning me from behind, breathing deeply into the back of my hair. His heavy arm was draped over me, pinning my arms to my chest, he was holding my hand tightly, our fingers interlaced, and his leg was slung casually over mine.

This is the fifth time in a roll Ashton is doing this. I just don’t get why he can’t stay on his own side of the bed without turning around to my side. I turn around to the window, and by the look at the weather, I know it’s six o’clock which means it’s time to make the great Alpha his great coffee. I take his hand off my body but before I could make a move he draped it back on me.

"You don’t have to do that. We can be together, we can have a life together." He whimpers in his sleep.

I should have known that this is coming. Whenever Ashton rolls to my side of the bed, it’s always because he’s having one of his worst nightm
