“Your plan,” Zayn began, staring at me. “Is it going to change our father’s mind?”

Our father had taken one look at our faces and saw the seriousness plastered on it before he asked us to head home and wait for him to request for our presence so we could speak.

I wanted to protest because I wanted to speak to Ari’s mum tonight but I thought better and Zayn drove us to his place.

We’ve been waiting here for a while now and no one has come to call us. I didn’t particularly mind the waiting, it gave me more time to go over everything that I had in my head and to refine them in a way that would seem presentable enough for our father to buy it.

“You sound like you don’t trust me, Zayn.” I said.

“You’re sounding too confident for your own good and I want to warn you that if you underestimate our father, our plans are as good as gone. So I’ll ask you one last time and I want you to be honest with me, are you sure about this plan of yours and is he going to buy it?”
