Do I know you

That mysterious woman had finally shown up again!

Except for a quick glance in the afternoon, the two of them hadn't seen each other for five years.

In Levi's mind, she was still the childlike girl who had said she had a little favor to ask him in the Civil Affairs Bureau.

With coldness in his eyes, he asked slowly,

"Do I know you?"

A trace of sadness flashed in Ashley's eyes. It turned out that he had forgotten everything.

But it didn't matter. They hadn't seen each other for a long time, so she didn't expect him to remember her."Mr. Stone, my name is Ashley. Ashley Brown"

But it was very painful that he does not remember her even after what they shared that evening which later produced Alex, her handsome son. The thought of Alex brought calmness to Ashleys disturbed mind.

She felt she can understand his plight since she left him in a very unreasonable manner that belittles his dignity as a man.

The thought of Alex brought calmness to Ashleys disturbed mind.

"Five years ago, I got the marriage certificate with you at the Civil Affairs Bureau. Do you remember?"

The smile on Ashley's face remained bright. Ever since she had given birth to Alex, she had become less arrogant and more peaceful, and more grateful to life.

Her son Alexander was a shining light to her bleak life and he is also the source of her strength. He is the reason why she hasnt given up on life.

"I have seen too many women. I don't remember you." Levi stared at her with unfathomable eyes.

"What do you want?" seeing that he still couldn't remember her, all the thoughts of her reconnecting with him and her son flew always from her mind.

Ashley added in a rush, "Five years ago, we got married. You are Levi, aren't you?"

"Did we get married? Maybe, I don't care about whether I got married or who my wife is. To me, every woman is the same." Levi's voice was still very cold,

But there was an unreadable glint in his eyes. Realizing that he had completely forgotten about their marriage and that he had no feelings for her; it is possible that he does not develop feelings for her because what they had after getting the marriage certificate can be likened to a one night stand but notwithstanding Ashley couldn't hide the disappointment in her eyes.

However, it was immediately replaced with relief. After all, this was the outcome she had hoped for. She could still spend time with him and explore his lifestyle and his background without worrying that he would develop feelings for her.

Anyway, she didn't have much time left to live. It was the best ending for her to be forgotten by him.

She wants to make sure that her son has someone to call a family before she dies, because she doesnt want to part with him with hard feelings and leave in regrets.

“Back then, he must have been forced to get married by his family for some reason. That was why when he met me; he decided to just get a marriage certificate with me without even giving much thought to it. No wonder he couldn't remember me now!

“But in that case, would he accept Alex, whose existence is even more unexpected?" she thought. The thought that Levi might not accept Alex as his son caused her to shudder but in the next instance the waved the thought.

She then said in her mind thank God, the world is changing. If he denies the paternity of Alex, she can just ask him to carry a DNA test between him and Alex for him to sure of fathering Alex” but she hopes and prays it doesnt reach that extent because Alex is still very young. She does not want his heart to be scarred that his father denied him.

Ashley sighed softly. "Mr Stone, I'm really sorry for what happened back then."

"Miss Brown, not only is your apology cheap and useless, but it's also late by several years." Levi's eyes flashed with a hint of anger.

Over the past five years, his cold heart had gradually frozen into ice. He was extremely displeased about her reappearance without his permission. Just like she did five years ago, she entered his life and she left as she wished.

"So you do remember me?" A tinge of hope re-entered Ashley's voice.

Levi pursed his thin lips tightly and said nothing. It seemed that whether he remembered her or not, he had no feelings for her, and had no intention of accepting her apology. He was very nonchalant towards her.

Ashley really felt bad about the way things had turned out, but there was nothing she could do to change the past now. The only thing she could to redeem the past is to set things straight in the future.

She handed over the gift in her hand and said, "Mr. Stone, I know you have all the right to refuse my apology, but I want to tell you that I'm sorry anyway. This gift is a token of my apology"

Even if Alex didn't exist, she would still feel guilty for disappearing from this man's life. A that time he was her savior he rescued her from the hell Lucia has planned for her because if it had not been him, her innocence would have longed be ruined.

She held out the gift that Maria had given her. The venue was not a good place to talk, so she begged,

"Mr. Stone, please give me your phone number. I have something to tell you."

Please, Im begging you. I have a lot to talk about

However, Levi just held his glass of wine with a cold expression on his face. His thin lips were tightly pursed into a straight line, a clear indicator for anyone who approached him to stay away. Alex would have the same expression on his face whenever he refused to do something.
