Chapter Twenty

I made it to the airport just in time to board my flight. A part of me hoped Mason would be here trying to fight for the love I thought we had. But was deeply disappointed when I walked through the airport, through TSA, and to the gate, my plane was and didn’t see him anywhere.

Tears threatened to fall from my eyes but I pushed them back and vowed to never cry over Mason again. Once I arrived back in Florida it’ll be a new chapter in my life with no Mason. With that thought, I gave my ticket to the lady to scan and I walked onto my plane.

My seat was 8F which was towards the back and thankfully the window seat. Ever since I flew on a plane for the first time at eighteen years old I’ve always loved flying and always bought the window seat. I hate the middle seat and the aisle seat.

I made my way to my seat, lugged my luggage into the top cabin, and took my seat at the window. The window blinds were closed shut and I didn’t mind that for now. I didn’t want to look at Rhode Island any
