Chapter Twenty-One

I was sitting at my desk in my medium-sized office, looking and feeling like a boss. I was in my very first office ever. I looked calm and collected but inside I was smiling from ear to ear. I am so glad I had the balls to up and quit my old job and apply for this one. It was the best decision I have ever made.

Last we left off I got hired at Star Magazine, went to the clinic, and went home. This morning I got up super early to get ready to go to my old job, to collect my things. When I arrived, everyone was staring at me and my old boss kept giving me the evil eye. I ignored her though and didn’t even spare her a single eye glance. I just grabbed a box and walked to my secretary's desk and started packing the box full of office supplies that I bought. The new secretary stopped typing on the keyboard to give me an annoying glare.
