Lily Thompson

I had just slipped the iPad onto the couch cushion when I heard her footsteps. Slow, deliberate, echoing down the stairs. My heart was still racing, but I forced my face into something calm, even warm. Isabella was still curled in my lap, humming softly to herself as if the world hadn’t just tilted beneath me.

My mom appeared with a neat leather folder clutched in her hand. Her smile was wide, too wide, practiced.

“There we are,” she said lightly, as though she’d simply fetched a recipe book. She held the folder against her chest for a moment before setting it on the coffee table between us. “The papers. I thought it would be best to finalize this now while you’re here.”

I tilted my head, keeping my voice soft. “Papers?”

She gave a small laugh, brushing imaginary lint from her blouse. “The transfer, sweetheart. Of the company, the assets, the accounts… all of it. We need to move it into my name so you don’t feel overwhelmed. You already have college, and Isab

  • My Daughter Found Me A Billionaire Husband    Threats For My Mother

Lily Thompson Isabella was sprawled on the rug in the living room, her small fingers tapping away at my mother’s iPad like she owned it. “Careful with that, baby,” I warned halfheartedly, sipping my cold coffee. “I’m not doing anything,” Isabella chirped, eyes glued to the cartoon game on the screen. Then the device chimed. A sharp ding—not the sound of her game. A message flashed across the top of the iPad. Isabella frowned, tilting her head. “Aunt Rose’s phone is talking.” She squinted at the words, lips moving as she tried to read. Before I could react, Isabella scrambled up. “I have to give it to Aunt Rose!” she announced, clutching the iPad tight as she dashed for the stairs. “Isa—wait!” I jumped to my feet, but she was already halfway there. Her little socks slipped on the polished floor. She squealed as her feet slid out from under her. The iPad flew from her hands, clattering against the bottom step as she landed hard on her knees. “Isabella!” My heart stoppe

  • My Daughter Found Me A Billionaire Husband    Transfer Assets

Lily Thompson My mother poured herself another cup of coffee, calm as though we weren’t talking about the weight of an empire. She blew across the rim, eyes flicking to Isabella, who had now abandoned her pancakes and was crouched on the floor, making her stuffed rabbit dance. “Lily,” she said softly, like she was easing into dangerous waters, “you’re carrying more than most women twice your age could handle. Between Isabella, school, and now this mountain of responsibility… I worry.” I tilted my head, suspicious. “You worry?” “Of course I do,” she said, setting the cup down gently. Her tone was smooth, almost too smooth. “You’re young. You’ve already been through so much. And handling this inheritance, especially the company… it’s not as easy as just signing papers. It’s men in suits waiting to rip you apart if you show the slightest weakness.” I let out a shaky laugh, though it wasn’t funny. “That’s why I have a lawyer. That’s why I have advisors.” She smiled faintly,

  • My Daughter Found Me A Billionaire Husband    The Aftermath Of Victory

Lily Thompson I stood outside my mother’s door with my hand frozen over the bell. The air was cool, the morning sun filtering through the trees, but my chest was tight. Too tight. All night I’d thought about it. The court win. The celebration. Ryan. Theo. My mother’s shaky testimony. And Isabella. Sweet, innocent Isabella, who had no idea the woman she called mummy’s friend was her blood. I pressed the bell before I could talk myself out of it. The door opened almost instantly, like she had been waiting. My mother smiled, too warm, too perfect, like nothing had happened in court. “Lily,” she said, pulling me in for a hug. “You look tired.” “I didn’t sleep much,” I admitted. My voice was low, guarded. She didn’t comment. Instead, she turned toward the living room. “Isabella’s still finishing her pancakes. She didn’t even want to sleep last night, she was so excited about the ‘victory party’.” A small smile tugged at my lips despite myself. “That sounds like her.” I fo

  • My Daughter Found Me A Billionaire Husband    Still On The Edge

Lily Thompson The smirk finally touched his lips, dangerous and hot. “Careful what you ask for.” My lips parted, but nothing came out. My chest rose and fell too fast, like my body already knew what was coming before my mind could catch up. Then Ryan closed the space between us. His mouth crashed against mine, hot, hungry, desperate. My back hit the counter with a dull thud, but I didn’t care. I gasped, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding against mine, claiming, demanding. “Ryan—” I whispered when he broke away just enough to breathe. He didn’t let me finish. His mouth trailed down my jaw, his lips searing against the curve of my neck. My head fell back, a shaky moan escaping as he sucked lightly at my skin. “You drive me insane,” he muttered against my throat. “Laughing with Theo like that… letting him touch you, look at you. That should be me. Only me.” His jealousy poured out with every word, and instead of pushing him away, it lit a fire low in my belly.

  • My Daughter Found Me A Billionaire Husband    Prove It

Lily Thompson “So…” he began, his voice low, his eyes sharp on me. “Don’t you think it was… strange?” I frowned, turning toward him. “Strange? What do you mean?” “Your mother,” he said plainly. “Why did she fumble like that? This was her biggest chance to tear your stepfather apart, and instead she kept slipping, like she couldn’t remember the facts. She repeated herself. She sounded… lost.” My smile faltered a little. I hugged my arms around myself. “Ryan, she was nervous. She’s not young anymore. And courtrooms can shake anyone.” He shook his head, not convinced. “Nervous is one thing, Lily. But this wasn’t nerves. This was… something else. She looked like she didn’t even know who she was in there.” I sighed and pressed a hand to my forehead. I didn’t want to think about that, not tonight. Not when I finally had air in my lungs after everything. “You’re overthinking,” I said softly, forcing another smile. “She was just overwhelmed. It’s done now. We won. That’s what
