Chapter 6: Leaving home

Kimberly's POV:

Jennet requested coffee, and with a heavy heart, I served her a glass of coffee before sitting.

'You are not that bad' she said with a teasing smile as she tasted the coffee.

All I could do was nod.

'I am a model' she blurted these four words and I wasn't surprised, after all, I already checked her out.

But it will be embarrassing to tell her that, so again I nodded.

'And I always dreamt of being an actress, so I was called by a producer…cool right?' she giggled happily. Why doesn't she get to the point?

'Tomorrow morning, I will leave San Francisco' now she had a sad look. Wait…was she going to leave Stanley?

'Kimberly, I love Stan so much. Now I won't be around, please don't seduce him'

My eyes widened in shock, was this the request she wanted to ask? I shouldn't seduce Stanley.

Was she being serious or what, she saw my shocked expression and placed her warm hands on mine.

'I know it's hard for you being in the same house with him and not loving him, but if one day you find yourself liking him. Then leave immediately'

I was dumbstruck that I couldn't bring myself to reply to her, what does she take herself for?

'Do you understand?' her question brought me out of my trance. I regained my senses and retracted my hands.

'Shouldn't you be telling that to Stanley' I asked with a calm tone?

'Stanley will never leave me; we have this deep bond. But I will be gone for a long time, he might need a toy to play with. And you will be his first option' she said with a caring tone.

Will Stanley think of using me for his desires? Is he someone of that genre?

'You are young Kimberly, don't let him use you in the future because all this marriage of yours is just an illusion'

I couldn't keep listening to her nonsense, so I stood up and took a few steps behind.

'I assure you that Kimberly Parker won't be a toy to anyone. And if one day Stanley succeeds in using me as one, then I will leave' I said out loud. She stood and picked her back, but before leaving she said something.

'Remember your words Kimberly Parker, I don't see you as a vicious woman…you are still young, don't let Stanley toy with you

After that, the sounds of heels could be heard again. She walked out without staring behind.

The next morning, I woke up early. Today was a Monday but there was no school because of the bonfire night.

I had a memory flash, now I understand why Frank said Jennet won't be there tomorrow. Turns out she is leaving the country, she will be a hot celebrity followed by a lot of paparazzi and she thinks I can take Stanley away from her?

Who am I? a college girl

And who was Jennet? A known model followed by many, and now she will be an actress. The gap is undeniably long.

After freshening up, I got dressed and ready to leave. I won't stay in this huge mansion all alone, so I decided to go shopping with Layla.

When I got to the sitting room, I spotted Stanley's car keys and phone on the table.

I can't ask for a ride because he is so arrogant, he won't accept helping me after the stunt I pulled at his parent's place.

Forget it, I am not asking. And I am also not going out without a car, I tiptoed to the table and picked up the keys before rushing outside.

After starting the engine, I drove out hurriedly before that jerk caught up with me.

This is a little payback for his attitude yesterday, he dropped me in the middle of nowhere.

From Stanley's POV:

I still couldn't bear the fact that Jennet was leaving the country. I have never been separated from her since we became a couple.

I was all freshened up to go drop her off at the airport, just when I arrived downstairs I saw Kimberly drive out with my car.

Curse that girl, is she crazy?

I clenched my fist angrily, I definitely won't spare her. How dare she leave with my car.

Ughhh

How was I going to see Jennet off? She must be waiting for me now.

Then my phone flashed an incoming call, and without checking the caller I picked up.

'Please be patient for a while, that brat left with my car' I said in an angry tone, I froze on the spot when I heard the caller's voice. I checked and it was dad.

'Which brat.?' Dad asked in a distinguished tone.

'Dad, it's you…how are you doing dad? You suddenly called, is there anything wrong?' I stuttered. Since I didn't have an excuse to give him, I decided to change the topic.

'Go pick your grandmother up at the airport at noon, and drop her home. I just left for a business trip'

Why was that old lady suddenly coming here? It is good I no longer live at the mansion.

'And one more thing, you will have to start coming to the office. Soon I will be retired and you will be in charge immediately. He ended his words, and he hung up. He was so cold and serious toward me

How was I going to pick up grandma from the airport? I don't have a car here.

Stanley Williams, a man of big things will have to take a cab. All thanks to that ugly wife of mine.

I decided to call her and give her a piece of my mind, but then I realized I don't have her cell number. I couldn't help but laugh, she is my wife but I don't even have these little details of hers.

After a lot of thought, I went out to get a cab. The house was located a few miles from the highway. So I had to walk for some time.

Then I received a message from Jennet. It read;

'Sighs, you didn't show up. My plane just took off'

I pulled my head frustrated and checked the time. It was already 10 am.

Finally, I saw a cab and got in.

Later, he dropped in front of the Williams mansion, walked in, and saw Kyle.

'Why are you here?' she asked with a confused look and I sneered. She was a bad sister as she was on Kimberly's side.

'And why are you not in school?' I scoffed.

'Because today is bonfire night, no one has to go to school' she said. I wasn't in the mood to talk to her.

After getting the keys from the driver, I drove out of the mansion to the airport. If I am just a minute late, then that old woman won't spare my ears.

There is a lot of traffic, but after an hour I arrived at the airport.

Again, I checked my time and I was late. It was all Kimberly's fault.

'Hey you' a voice echoed from afar, I turned and saw an old lady, she had a few strands of white hair and also had glasses on due to short-sightedness. It was my old lady.

'Granny' I walked towards her and took her bag from the guard accompanying her.

'Am I your grandmother? You dare come late' she scolded angrily.

'Just because you are married doesn't mean you will forget about me at the airport, these young couples' she held her head frustrated before sighing.

'I am sorry granny'

'I won't blame you, I am sure that woman made you come late. And why didn't she come along with you?' she asked and this was my chance to get my revenge on Kimberly.

'Granny, you really shouldn't blame me. You know how filial your grandson is'

'That's right, take me home first'

I nodded and helped her get in the car before driving away.

From Kimberly's POV:

Layla and I bought some cool pajamas before going to the restaurant to have breakfast. I told her about Stanley's decision to divorce me after he gets his inheritance and also about my meeting with Jennet.

'She dares say that to you? Who does she take you for? A wood.' Layla was always hot head.

'I saw the photos of your husband online, he is so cute and she expects you not to fall in love with him' she sneered angrily and I rolled my eyes. It's so easy not to love him because he is a jerk.

'I won't fall in love with a jerk'

'I am telling you this my friend, it is impossible not to love him. Only if you are not into men' Layla was exaggerating her words. Even if I one-day fall in love with him, then what next? I let him toy with me.

'Let's not talk about him again, he will make a fuss tonight because of his car' I had a smile on my face. I can't wait to see the look on his face.

Stanley's POV:

Soon we arrived at the mansion, I helped granny out of the car and mother walked towards us.

'Mom' she said with a respectful tone, no one even dared to smile at her.

Then Kyle walked out as well, she hugged granny happily. But granny seems to be in a bad mood.

'Where is your husband? How dare his father marry off my grandson' she scolded mom angrily.

'My grandson has been wronged' she added and I nodded pitifully.
