Samantha Point of view 

I stared at him in disbelief. Does he not realize that finding that kind of keeper is rare. I asked, "How?" 

He frowns and answered, "My first kill was actually the keeper's daughter. I didn't know back then but when I met her again a few days ago, she told me that she was a keeper."

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him confusedly. "She willingly told you? 

It's common knowledge that all keepers should keep a low profile, especially if you have no one by your side protecting you. Keepers would be vulnerable by themselves and that is why finding your protector is really important for us. 

Protectors are any supernatural beings that were born and assigned to a certain keeper. It is somehow like mates. Protector and Keepers feel an internal connection. Protectors would feel the urge and obligation to protect keepers while keepers would feel safe and trust their protectors instantly.
