Amelia's POV

He removed my bra, and swallowed hard as it came off. His erection pressed against my stomach.

He put his hands under my butt, lifting me up. My legs wrapped around his torso, and I continued digging my nails into his skin.

"Fuck me." He groaned.

He turned off the shower, and carried me into the room. In a swift motion, he laid me on the bed and started kissing between my thighs.

He took off my pants, and inserted his fingers into my vagina. I was on cloud nine.

I've never felt this alive since I can remember. Sex with Damian wasn't even this good.

After sometimes he came up, crashing his lips on mine, and dominating the kiss.

One of his hands was on my breast, kneading it softly, as his thumb grazed over my nipple. He sucked on my other breast, gently biting my nipple.

"Gosh! This is so good," I moaned.

I hadn't taken a good look at the man I was in bed with. I opened my eyes a bit, and looked at him. I couldn't see his face, but he had black hair.

"My name is Asher, and I'll make you scream it in different positions." His hand left my breast, into my vagina.

"A… Asher…" I rubbed his head, holding him closer to me.

He turned me so that I was facing the bed, arched my back, and thrust into me. He went in and out for a while, our bodies slamming together in perfect rhythm.

I moaned loudly. I was enjoying every second of this.

His hand slid down to my breast, holding it possessively as he continued to thrust.

When he pulled out, I turned to him.

He laid on the bed, as I straddled him. He had a pair of hazel eyes, and a very handsome face. He looked like he was sculptured with precision in every detail — his plump lips, his jaw, his nose— everything was screaming perfectly.

"You look so beautiful," his hand touched my face gently.

"You're not so bad yourself." I chuckled.

"We should've started with his position. I could stay here all day," he kept his hand on my bare butt, and the other was on my breast.

"I don't mind. We can do this all night." I traced my finger on his abs. He was perfectly fit. Maybe he lived at the gym or something.

I rested my head on his chest, the alcohol was taking a toll on me.

"Are you okay?" he asked with concern laced in his voice.

"Yeah. I just had a lot to drink. I think I need to rest, even if I feel like we should do this all night." My voice was hoarse.

"There will always be a next time. Just rest for now." He pulled the blanket, to cover both of us. He wrapped his arms around me and patted my back gently.

I fell asleep within seconds.

A buzzing sound woke me up.

I groaned as I reached to get my phone on the side table. An arm was draped over my waist, holding me like a stuffed toy.

I removed Asher's arm and slid away from his sleeping figure. He looked very calm as he slept, his chest rising and falling slowly under the white sheets. He looks softer — his jaw clenched, lips slightly parted. Peaceful. Like the world can wait until he decides to wake up.

I looked at the notification on my phone, it was Darcy, my assistant.

She sent a reminder about the important meeting I had by 10am today. It was 8am already.

I had just two hours to be there.

I quickly dressed up, and carried my belongings. I dropped a stack of cash on the table, before I left the room, closing the door behind me.

I hurriedly checked out, and went straight to my penthouse to get dressed for work.

I alighted my vehicle, and took a good look at my building, my company, the same one I inherited from my grandmother a few years back, but it was different now.

I had the interior designs renewed and upgraded, I repaired broken things, painted the building again, and voilà it looked better.

I didn't just upgrade the building structure, but I worked my butt off to get this company to where it is right now. It's currently one of the biggest holding companies.

This is my greatest work.

My assistant walked closely behind me, as I stepped into the building.

"Mrs. Samantha dropped off a document this morning, she went for her antenatal, and she might be back on time for the meeting by 10. I also dropped a number of documents on your desk for review. The shares bought in G logistics company are plummeting, I would like to know if you want to sell the shares before it goes downhill."

I walked into my office, "I'll review the documents and everything. Do a background check on that logistics company. I think there was something they didn't tell me before I bought it. I'll take them to court if they want." I rolled my eyes.

Darcy excused herself and left the room. I looked at my mahogany desk, heaps of documents were mounted on it. The atmosphere in my office was calm, the air diffuser blew at the end of the room. There was a set of couches in the middle of the room, facing each other, with a glass table between them.

I took a deep breath, and went straight to work.

About thirty minutes later, I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I responded, without looking up.

Darcy walked in, "Ma, Mr Damian. Hades is in the hallway, and he's demanding…"

My office door was forced open, and Damian walked in, with a scowl on his face.

"To what do I owe this pleasure?" I asked. I placed my hand on my jaw, with a smile on my face.

Amelia's POV The drive back to the penthouse was quiet, the city lights streaking past the car windows like distant stars. Asher’s hand rested on my thigh the entire way, his thumb tracing absent, soothing circles against the fabric of my pants. Neither of us spoke much. The weight of the day — the board vote, my father’s audacity, the mysterious note from the assistant at Evergreen — pressed down on us both. I kept the small folded paper clutched in my free hand, its edges already softening from how tightly I’d been holding it.When we finally stepped inside the penthouse, the familiar space felt like a sanctuary. The soft glow of the lamps Asher had left on welcomed us. I kicked off my heels by the door and collapsed onto the wide sectional couch with a heavy sigh. Asher joined me moments later, carrying two glasses of water. He sat close, our thighs touching, and gently took the note from my fingers.“Let’s see what we’ve got,” he murmured, unfolding it carefully. The paper was pl

Ivy's POVThe drive home from the Brooks estate felt longer than usual. My hands rested on the steering wheel, but my mind was elsewhere — replaying the dinner, Amelia’s calm refusal to sign the paperwork, the way Damian had squeezed my hand under the table like I was some kind of trophy he’d already won. The city lights blurred past my window as I navigated the familiar streets, one hand occasionally drifting to rest on mine. My mind had been quiet today, but I could still feel the subtle changes in my body — the tiredness that clung to me like a second skin, the way certain smells made my stomach turn without warning.I pulled into the driveway of the sleek apartment Damian had moved us into months ago. It was modern, expensive, and cold — much like the man himself lately. I sat in the car for a few extra moments after turning off the engine, staring at the dark windows. Something in my chest felt heavy tonight. Not just the weight of our plans, but a deeper unease I couldn’t quite

Amelia’s POV I stared at my father across the desk, the weight of his words hanging in the air like smoke after a fire. The office felt smaller suddenly, the afternoon light from the windows doing little to warm the chill that had settled in my bones. Graham Brooks sat there in his perfectly pressed suit, posture rigid as always, as if he still believed he could command the room — and my life — with a few carefully chosen sentences. “No,” I said finally, my voice calm but edged with steel. I didn’t raise it. I didn’t need to. “I’m not calling off anything. Asher and I are getting married. That’s final.” Graham leaned forward slightly, his cold grey-blue eyes narrowing. The same eyes Ivy had inherited. “Amelia, be reasonable for once in your life. Sinclair is an outsider. He doesn’t understand our family, our legacy. The man I have in mind — Richard Langford — comes from old money. Strong connections in shipping and finance. A union like that would strengthen Genesis in ways your l

Amelia’s POVThe folder from Esme lay open on my desk like a forbidden map to a past I wasn’t sure I wanted to explore. Late afternoon light slanted through the blinds of my office, casting long golden stripes across the papers. I sat there for what felt like hours, though the clock on my wall told me it had only been twenty minutes. My fingers traced the edges of the two birth certificates side by side.Daniel Marcus Whitmore. Damian Hades. Two names. Two identities. One man who had spent his entire adult life pretending to be someone else. I kept coming back to the sparse details about his birth mother, Elena Whitmore — a name that appeared and then vanished from records like smoke. What had driven her to give him up? And why had the adoption home, Evergreen, kept so few traces of the boy who had entered their care? The questions swirled in my mind, each one heavier than the last. Damian’s obsession with me, with the company, with proving his worth — it all made a terrible kind of

Unknown POVI lingered in the shadowed hallway of the Brooks estate, the kind of place where secrets seemed to seep from the very walls. The evening had stretched long after the formal dinner, the guests slowly trickling away, leaving behind half-empty wine glasses and the faint echo of polite laughter that had never reached their eyes. I had stayed behind on purpose — invisible, unremarkable, the kind of person no one truly notices until it’s too late. My footsteps were soft on the thick carpet, my breathing measured. I had become very good at being overlooked. From the partially open door of one of the guest bedrooms on the upper floor, sounds drifted out — rhythmic, intimate, unmistakable. I moved closer, careful not to let the floorboards creak, and peered through the narrow gap.Damian and Ivy.They were on the large four-poster bed, the silk sheets twisted around them. Ivy’s honey-blonde hair spilled across the pillow like a golden halo, her curvier frame arched beneath him. Dam

Amelia's POVThe café was the same quiet corner we had used before — lace curtains, soft lighting, and the gentle clink of teacups that felt worlds away from the corporate battlefield I had just left. I arrived ten minutes early, my nerves still buzzing from the board vote and the explosive argument with Asher. The emerald ring on my finger caught the light as I twisted it anxiously, a reminder of everything I was fighting for.Esme and Morgan were already seated in the private booth when I arrived. Esme’s sharp silver-streaked hair was neatly styled, her posture straight and professional. Morgan sat beside her, his broad frame taking up space, a thick manila folder resting on the table between them.“Amelia,” Esme greeted, standing to shake my hand with her usual firm grip. “Thank you for coming so quickly. We have some findings, though not as comprehensive as I’d hoped yet.”I slid into the booth across from them, heart pounding. “Anything helps at this point.”Morgan pushed the fol

Amelia’s POV The cream invitation lay on the coffee table between us like a loaded gun. I stared at the elegant script and the Brooks family crest, my stomach twisting with unease. Amelia’s POVThe sound of the door opening behind me sent ice through my veins. Amelia’s POV I kept the anonymous text to myself. The message burned in my mind like a brand: *Damian would be out of his office by 12:00 PM tomorrow.
