LOGIN"I haven't done anything, and there's no need for any apology, there's no need for any of her games anymore,"
Nathan dimmed her words as crap and began leaving until he heard her last statement.
"I want a divorce."
He halted in his steps.
"What did you say?"
"I'm letting you go Nathan, I want a divorce." She muttered once again in a firm tone.
He let out a scoff.
"You did something wrong and instead of apologizing you're trying to make a fuss?"
"I'm making a fuss??." She was shocked at his reaction.
His head was tilted aside.
"Drink some water, sleep and then do the right thing tomorrow by apologizing to Andrea."
"I'm doing nothing! don't you get it?? I'm done with you!"
"Alicia you must do the right thing tomorrow and I'll pretend I didn't here you say that"
Alicia couldn't believe it, she bite her lower lips in anger. Nathan had never took anything she said serious and this was also part of it?
She was so angry that she felt she couldn't stay at the house one more minutes.
Then she brought out her phone and dialed a number who picked almost immediately.

Andrea who was almost ran over by a car at the Paddington's residence was now admitted at the hospital as she secured a graze on her arms.
When Nathan got to her ward at the hospital, he had lots of thoughts running through his mind.
He wondered why Alicia who had done nothing but adored him for the past four years of her life, even when he maltreated her suddenly wanted out.
She had loved him through thick and thin and continued loving him even as he never reciprocated for once.
He was often disgusted by her until he had an accident that almost took his legs three years ago, while he was confined on a wheelchair and she was doing her best taking care of him, he tried to looked for a means to not feel frustrated at her sight, then he found it. Alicia had a delicate voice as Andrea and the shape of her lips was almost the same as that of Andrea's, hence he often picture Andrea in her and was beginning to feel soften towards her until Andrea returned back from her studies. The original was here, why was there any need to continue suffering? forcing himself to love who he doesn't even fancy for a bit? He was already better, what was the need?? He began giving Alicia the cold shoulder and became even worse than he ever was.
He was lost in thoughts until Andrea called his name.
"Nathan?"
"Do you have something on your mind?"
"No Andrea." He stood up and went close to her side, just few minutes, he went in a daze again while caressing her hair.
"I'll be right back." He muttered and sprung off.
---------------
In a bursty club filled with girls on skimpy dresses and dancing on a pole was Nathan seated at the bar with someone he has never met in his life.
"Can I ask you something??" He wasn't drunk but his head was too choked up to realize he don't even know this person.
"Go ahead my man!" The man who was drunk and almost sleeping off shouted.
He shuddered but still continued anyways.
"My wife suddenly wants a divorce."
"Hahaha, so sorry my man, did she find you cheating?"
Nathan was quiet for sometimes, out of any reply to give him. What was cheating, was it loving the woman he had adored since his childhood?
"Answer me man! Did she find out you have a girlfriend??"
"She have always known I have a girlfriend whom I loved so much and she had never have any trouble with that."
"What?? should I tell you something?"
"Yes go ahead.."
"You're such a jerk!"
Nathan had his head tilted aside.
"How can you treat a woman like that! I just talked to a lady and my wife had nearly choked me to death, I had to run away from home., you're worst than an alien."
"How?? I just love Andrea and doesn't love my wife what's the big deal?"
"Then Grant her the divorce and bring in your mistress, hahaha by the way are you seeing that chick on the pole??"
He chuckled blinking vigorously at the girl.
Nathan had his back turned to the dance floor and didn't listen to him, he picked his drink, and had a scowl on his face confused at what to do.
Just then the guy stood up.
"I need to get that girl, she's my type."
"Thought you said your wife will kill you?"
"Yea, I'd die for this one!" He smiled sheepishly finding his way to the dance floor.
There, Nathan's eyes squinted at the girl rolling and dancing happily at the pole.
He stood up immediately wondering and hoping it was not who his eyes was seeing.
When he got closer, his words left his throats.
"Alicia?? What is she doing here." He scowled and dashed off to the stage.
Before he got to her, his new friend already grabbed her hand.
"Get your hands off her! You scandalous thing!!"
"I got her first, let go alien!" He yelled in his drunk voice.
"You both get your hands off me! leave me alone nasty things!" She yelled in her drunken state.
"Alicia, what do you think you're doing? why are you here??"
"Ow wow, how did you know my name? you're such a sweet thing." She smiled sheepishly.
"Let's get out of here."
"I'm not done yet, where am I going??" She never stopped smiling.
"I'm enjoying myself to the fullest today, you know why? I just got a burden off my mind today. I told that heartless, wicked, selfish Nathan that I was done with him today! Isn't that exciting??" She smiled sheepishly which turned swiftly into a drunk wail.
Nathan figured she wasn't going to comply easily, he bent down and swept her off her feet, placing her on his shoulder.
"Sweet little thing, put me down now! I'm not done dancing, after that we can go to your room! but wait, Lily had said she has someone in mind for me this night, where are you taking me??"
She kept blabbing until they were out of the club.
Nathan hadn't come with a car hence he called his driver who came almost immediately.
He tried to shove her into the car but Alicia wasn't ready to leave yet, she forcefully dragged herself down his shoulder and ran in zigzag as fast as she could.
Then her phone came ringing.
When she picked up, the voice almost blocked her ears from yelling.
"Aly where the f*ck are you!"
"I think some people wants to kidnap me, Lily come and rescue me!" She screamed and kept running which wasn't even running at all.
Her leg slipped and she fell to the floor wincing in pain.
Even though she thought she have been running, she was just few meters away from Nathan.
He walked vigorously to her side.
"Alicia, are you okay?"
"I told you to leave me alone, Lily already have someone for me this night!" She screamed to Nathan's ears.
She opened her eyes widely staring strongly at him.
"I can never go with you! You look like Nathan, you have a handsome face as him and looks cruel too, I hate him, even though I love him so much! Nathan had took me to hell and brought me back and then put me on frying pan! haha, he's a heartless punk. I can't wait to have a steamy night tonight, where's is Lily!" She yelled and began crying once again.
"Lily don't let them kidnap me." She wailed.
Nathan breathed deeply.
"You're such a weak drunk, now lets get out of here."
"Are you as dumb as Nathan? Cos Nathan doesn't take anything I say seriously and.. and that hurts my heart," She hit hardly on her chest.
"I said I'm not going with you."
Then her phone began ringing again.
"Can you have your phone close to you and be taking your calls for goodness sake??"
"Lily they'll kidnap me." She wailed.
"Where are you."
She looked around vigorously.
"Where am I??"
She looked up from where she laid down.
"Wait what?? Why am I seeing heaven?? am I dead? Lily I think I'm in heaven!" Her eyes never stopped rolling at the sky.
Nathan scoffed at her drama.
"You're outside, that's where you are." He muttered.
"Lily he said I'm outside! Not heaven hehe." She muttered.
"Outside where, the club? Answer me!"
"I don't know.. he said outside, come quick and get me, his face looks scary like Nathan." She wailed.
"I'm coming, don't leave there.
She muttered and hung up.
Few seconds into it, Emily ran to where she was scattered on the floor.
"Aly what happened?"
She began crying into Emily's chest.
"You're the only one I've got, my own knight in shining armor. I almost got kidnapped by that heartless punk." She pointed at Nathan.
Emily looked back at who she was pointing and a scowl appeared on her face.
The next morning, sunlight filtered weakly through the curtains, painting the apartment in a soft, golden haze. Emily stirred on the couch, still wrapped in the throw Alicia had draped over her the night before. Her stomach felt tender, a dull ache that reminded her that nothing would ever be the same.Alicia moved quietly around the living room, setting a small tray with fruit, toast, and a cup of tea on the coffee table. The aroma reached Emily’s nose, and for a brief moment, her stomach rumbled in response.“Good morning,” Alicia said softly, kneeling beside the couch to set the tray in front of her. “Eat a little. You need your strength.”Emily managed a weak smile and took a small bite. “Thanks, Aly… for everything last night.”Alicia settled beside her again, gently brushing a stray strand of hair from Emily’s face. “Don’t thank me. I told you…. I’m staying. And I meant it. You’re not alone in this.”Emily swallowed, her mind still spinning from the night before. “I just… I don
Emily did not remember how she got home. She remembered standing up from the café table, her legs unsteady, the chair scraping loudly against the floor. She remembered stepping outside and the evening air hitting her face, cold enough to sting. Everything after that blurred together.By the time she reached her apartment, night had settled fully. The silence inside felt heavy, pressing in on her chest. She shut the door and leaned against it, her breath coming out shallow and uneven. Her hand drifted to her stomach.“I’m sorry,” she whispered, though she wasn’t sure who she was apologizing to.She slid down slowly until she was seated on the floor, knees pulled close to her chest. Vin’s voice replayed in her head, sharp and careless. This isn’t my responsibility. The words settled deep, heavier than the breakup itself.A knock sounded.Emily stiffened.Another knock followed, softer this time.“Mily,” Alicia’s voice came through the door. “Open up.”Emily pushed herself up and unlocke
The cab moved through the city streets, but Emily hardly noticed. Her mind raced in circles, short, sharp thoughts cutting into each other. Does he deserve to know? No. Could I do this alone? Maybe I should.… I should just end it? Every option twisted her stomach tighter. She pressed a hand against her stomach, imagining the tiny life inside, fragile and unknowable, and felt both panic and an odd fierce protectiveness. Vin didn’t know, and maybe he never should, because it's clear that he was cheating on her. She had to decide quickly and quietly, for herself. When the cab pulled up to her building, Emily noticed a familiar figure at her door. Alicia stood there, arms crossed, brow furrowed, waiting. Relief and embarrassment hit Emily at once.“Alicia,” she whispered as she stepped out, her bag hanging heavily from her shoulder.“You look like hell,” Alicia said, voice gentle but firm. “Your phone has gone off.”Oh God,” she murmured. “I didn’t even notice. I’m sorry. How long have
Emily sat up at the edge of the bed, teardrops forming in her eyes as she stared at the empty space beside her. Vin was gone. He could not even wait till she woke up before leaving. Her phone lay beside her, silent, like it had nothing to say to her pain. For a moment, she remembered the first time he had stayed over. How she had woken to find him still there, leaning against the headboard, watching her like she was something fragile. He had brushed her hair back then, murmured something about mornings suiting her. She had believed that meant something. Now, the space beside her felt colder than the room itself. She sent him a text, hoping he would reply, but he did not. She dialed his number. The call was not going through. Her thumb hovered over his name again. She considered sending another message, something casual, something that would not sound desperate. She typed, deleted, typed again, then locked her phone. She did not want to beg for attention she had not been freely given.
Even though Nathan wasn't sure what to do next, he gripped the edge of the staircase near the garden were he sat, already certain that Andrea was not making life any easier for him and he needed to do something about it. Frustration, anxiety and confusion washed him over. “But, Master Nathan! Are you really going to let Madam Alicia go just like that, without a fight? You're really going to sign those divorce papers?” Celine asked, her brows furrowed.Nathan only shrugged.“All these years I knew you, even while you were married to her. I never saw you like this,” Celine continued. “You always had your head held high like a king. She gave you peace and did not give any reason to doubt her unlike Andrea.”She hesitated then lowered her voice. “Pardon me, Master Nathan, but I must speak the truth. Madam Alicia was a good wife. She was faithful, hardworking, and always wanted to please you. Yet you continued seeing Andrea as your mistress. I was shocked when you eventually brought her i
Nathan's POVI spent the night in a restless haze, thinking of nothing else but the confrontation earlier. Andrea’s trembling words, her shaky denials, the faint crack in her story; it all replayed in my mind like a broken record. Celine had promised to arrange the test discreetly, and by morning I expected clarity. But by the time I returned to the living room, it was already morning, something felt… off.Andrea was sitting rigidly on the couch, her hands clasped tightly in her lap. My mother hovered nearby, brooding in that way that always made me uneasy. There was tension in the air, an undercurrent I couldn’t place at first.Celine stepped aside quietly, her expression was tight. She avoided looking at Andrea. My instincts screamed that something had shifted.I fixed Andrea with my gaze. “Where’s the test?” I asked, keeping my voice calm, but sharp as steel.Andrea’s lips parted, and then she looked away. Something in her posture was too rigid and too guarded and that made my hear
