Chapter Thirty-one
He sat cross legged beside me and my hand shot out to his as I pulled him towards me, “No, we just had a fight last night, they have to rest.”
Hayden let out another chuckle as his hand came over my head to capture the stray strands and place them back behind my ear.
“They are werewolves, Maddy. They should have healed in half an hour, except the ones that were seriously injured which weren’t many.”
Now when I heard it, it did make sense. I was stupidly applying the rules of human body to that of werewolves.
Propping myself on my elbows, I asked, “What if I don’t want to train? I am not a werewolf, so I don’t heal like you guys do.”
I said with puppy eyes. I knew I was teasing him but he had started first. So, I was just keeping up with him.

Hayden My eyes then automatically flicked to Madeleine. She wasn’t strikingly beautiful or some maiden that I had never ever set my eyes on. But, she was gorgeous in her own way.
