Chapter 4

Unable to find Selina, Felix could only take his anger out on me.

I caught the fist he threw at my face, saying, "You were the one who did something wrong. What does it have to do with me?"

He bellowed angrily, "It's because you won't stop seducing Selina, you bastard! You're the one who stole my blissful life from me!"

Furrowing my brow, I pushed him away from me.

Even though I hadn't used much force, Felix stumbled back and crashed into the table behind him as though I had shoved him with all my strength.

At the same time, Selina and Luna rushed over, with Luna instantly accusing me angrily, "Calvin Yangley, Felix is blind! How could you pick on him like that?"

Selina carefully helped Felix to his feet before shooting me a grim look.

"Calvin Yangley, you truly won't stop at anything to break me and Felix up, will you? You were even crazy enough to drug your own fiancee so that you could frame him and ruin his reputation!"

I was thoroughly stumped by her words. "What did you say?"

Selina thought that her stumbling upon Felix and Luna sleeping together was all a scheme on my end?

For a moment, I couldn't find the words to speak.

Luna spoke up in an exasperated tone. "Calvin, it was already bad enough that you asked me for those photos and edited them into those intimate photos with Felix, but this time, you've truly crossed the line. Even if you still haven't given up on your feelings for Selina, how could you trample all over my sincere feelings for you like this?"

Felix was still being supported by Selina and leaning quite heavily on her. He yelled at me, "Calvin, just what did I ever do to you that you want to set up and hurt a blind man like me?"

The hospital hallway was busy with people coming and going, and our commotion had plenty of them looking in our direction. Some had even taken out their phones and were recording.

Face ghastly pale, I shook my head as I continued to deny it, "I never did any of that! You're accusing me of something I didn't do!"

However, Selina refused to believe me, and with me unable to provide any evidence to prove my innocence, all my efforts to clear my name were in vain.

Selina hugged Felix before stroking his cheek with a heartbroken expression. When she turned to me again, her gaze was once more dark and hostile.

"If it weren't for Luna begging me for mercy on your behalf as we made our way here, I would've called the police on you already. Calvin Yangley, if you ever dare get any ideas about Felix again, I'll make you pay for it with your life!"

With that, she walked off, still supporting Felix as he sagged weakly against her.

Luna came to stand in front of me before digging in her pocket for a handkerchief that she held out to me. When she spoke, it was in her usual gentle tone.

"Calvin, you can scold me however you wish if you're angry at me, and I definitely won't talk back. However, I won't call off the wedding that's taking place the day after tomorrow. I'll definitely give you the grandest ceremony you'll ever experience in this life."

She then went on to say that she had done this simply because she wanted me to give up completely on Selina, so she could finally feel secure. She also said that after the wedding was over, we could move overseas and begin a new life together.

But I was well aware that she merely wanted to take my eyes away and give them to Felix so that he could start a new life. As for me, I didn't deserve to appear in their lives again after that.

Too bad for her, I had long since seen right through her plans.

In that case, why would I allow her to succeed? Since they were so eagerly looking forward to the wedding the day after tomorrow, I certainly couldn't disappoint them.

In no time at all, it was the day of the wedding.

I watched as Luna hid herself away in the makeup room before calling Felix.

"Don't worry, the hospital already has everything ready. I'll personally perform the surgery for you later. After that, I'll take Calvin with me and move overseas. I won't let him return to bother you ever again."

True, I wouldn't be bothering him ever again, as I had already packed up all my things and bought a one-way ticket to Ferne.

Before leaving the wedding venue, I purposely switched out the wedding video.

Luna wanted an unforgettable wedding, a wedding of the century, didn't she? ≈Well then, I had thoughtfully prepared a huge gift for her.
