Chapter 33

Gary lies down to sleep, listening to the sound of the stream. If Lucifron appeared, he would be there waiting for him.

When Gary wakes up, he is not in his bed. He wasn't even in his room. In reality, he had no idea where he was. He opens his mouth to call out to the maiden, but a memory pops into his head:

“If you wake up in a place you don't know, don't call anyone, not even the maiden. Don't look for anyone, just hide, pay attention to your mind, because inside your mind you have your best friend. Listen to his advice. Never try to go to populated places, and don't trust anyone. When you remember who you are, you can look for your home and the man I chose to live by your side.”

He remains silent. That woman had warned him. Could it be she who made him appear there?

He hears something rummaging through the herbs, and scared, he runs to hide. It was just a small boar, but it was enough for Gary to start looking for a place to hide.
