Passing The Interview

Her feet made their way towards the huge entrance of that building but she got halted by the guards at the entrance.

“Your entrance card?” One of the guards asked Nina. All those guards were looking very rude, who loved to scare everyone and Nina hated such kind of people but she just nodded at that guard and took out her entrance card.

She handed the card to that guard. Cain had already told her regarding this that no one could enter into the premises without the entrance card, no matter what.

“Okay, you can go,” the guard gave her the card back. Shoving the card back in her handbag, she walked towards the main door but there she had to walk through the security detector to enter inside finally.

A little scowl formed on her face. Why so much security? She had no interest in stealing anything from here.

With her frown, she entered inside the premises finally but as soon as she did it, her frown faded and got replaced by a stunned reaction. This place was looking even more beautiful and magnificent from inside. Nina felt like she had entered inside some kind of royal castle with a modern touch. Every single thing inside this place was breathtaking and enchanting. It could make anyone go insane over its beauty. Nina wondered how much its possessor had spent on it to build a place like this. Probably too much for her understanding.

She sighed, heavily. Rich people and their ways of showing their richness. Mentally chuckling, she walked further inside and went to the reception.

“Hello,” Nina greeted the receptionist lady.

“Hello, how may I help you?” The receptionist asked her, politely.

“I came here for the interview,”Nina answered.

“Your interview letter?” The receptionist asked her after hearing her. Nina showed her the interview letter which the receptionist checked and then nodded.

“Fourth floor, room no. 932,” the receptionist informed her about the place where the interview was going to be conducted.

“Thank you,” saying that Nina went towards the elevator.

She reached the fourth floor and her eyes widened by seeing the huge line of candidates who had come here to give the interview. She had already expected this long line because she was aware of how famous and successful this place was. Anyone would feel blessed to get employed in a place like this, not just only because of its extremely high salary and remunerations but also because of its luxurious working environment and atmosphere.

Exhaling a soft sigh, she looked for her seat number which was written on her interview letter and then she finally found it. Nina sat on her respective chair and waited for her turn to come. She saw candidates going inside with nervous looks on their faces and some returned with a smiling face and some with sadness.

Almost after waiting for an hour, her turn came. Getting up, she took a deep breath to calm her anxiety down and then went inside that room.

Nina saw that room looked like some kind of hall from inside and it was beautiful like the rest of the place. It was a panel of three interviewers. Two men and one woman.

“Take your seat, Ms. Halzen,” Nina heard the woman telling her. She nodded at the woman but only before reading her name which was written on a board in front of her….. Ameline Zelvasco. She read that woman's name and then sat on her chair.

“So, Ms. Halzen…. Kindly introduce yourself,” she heard one of the men asking her.

“My name is Nina Halzen. I am 19 years old and I am in my first year of graduation,” she informed the panel.

“And why do you want this job?” Another man asked her.

“To support myself financially,” she answered, shortly.

“Will you be able to manage your studies and work here, Ms. Halzen?” this time she heard the woman asking her.

“Even if I can't, I would have to because this job is going to be my only source of income which I need to spend for my livelihood,” she replied, honestly and she could clearly see that her answers impressed the panel.

That interview proceeded and she continued to answer them honestly.

“You are hired, Ms. Halzen,” she heard the woman saying to her after she asked her the final question. Nina smiled before thanking them.

“And yes, don't forget the only thing you need to remember while working here is discipline and maintaining the decorum of this place,” that woman, Ameline, said to her. Nina dipped her head.

“I will remember that. Thank you very much,” she answered, earning a nod from that woman and then she left the room.

“Yes….yes….yes,” she came out jumping from that room but finally realised that she was surrounded by dozens of people who were giving her weird looks. Probably because she had been dancing like an alien now.

Nina gulped before maintaining her stature. She took some small steps and then ran away from there, already forgetting about the discipline and decorum of that place.

………….

“Yeah …..I got the job,” Nina was jumping, like a happy and excited frog. Cian chuckled, seeing her. She had been dancing since the moment he took her to her home.

Giggling, Nina sat beside him and then hugged him tightly.

“Thank you so much for suggesting my name for the interview,” she said to him and then planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

“I love you soooooo much,”

Cain chortled before gently patting her cheek.

“I love you too,” he said to her, widening her smile. Nina noticed his eyes trailing down towards her mouth which made her nervous because she understood what he was wanting to do but she was not ready for it.

Cain leaned more closer to her mouth but she tilted her head while pressing her palms against his chest.

“Just on cheeks,” she said to him which made him sigh heavily. They both were dating each other from the past couple of months but Nina was not ready to go further than kissing on cheeks and hugging each other because she wanted time before she would go more deep into her relationship because this was her first time dating someone.

“As you wish, Ms. Halzen,” Cain kissed her cheeks and Nina breathed out in relaxation. After that, she sent him a big and wide smile which he returned with a small one.

“So you are going to start your work tomorrow?” He asked and she nodded at him.

“Yes, now I am very excited to start my work, especially after seeing how beautiful that place is. It feels like you have entered inside some kind of fantasy movie,” she elaborated and her explanation made him chuckle.

“No, seriously…..do you have any clue of how many millions your uncle has spent on making that place? I couldn't even describe through my words how ethereal that place is,” she still couldn't get over the beauty of that place. It felt like the enchanting beauty of that place had gotten stuck inside her head.

“My uncle has made this place for his wife, Noelle because she used to love cooking a lot. That's why he gifted her that hotel on their very first wedding anniversary,” Cain's words stunned Nina.

“Really?” she asked, startled. Cain nodded at her.

“It means your uncle loves his wife a lot,” she concluded. Only a person insanely in love could do that for his beloved.

“Yes, he does love her a lot but unfortunately his wife died in an unfortunate event during the second year of their marriage,” his words faded Nina's smile because somehow she started feeling extremely bad after hearing that thing because she knew the pain of losing your loved ones.

“By the way, you know my entire family is going to gather in that hotel tomorrow to celebrate Eara’s birthday,” hearing Cain, Nina gave him a surprised look.

“Tomorrow's celebration is going to be a little more special for my whole family,”

“Why?” Nina asked him, confused.

“Because tomorrow uncle Rican is going to join us for the birthday celebration party,” he answered, but it did nothing to lessen her confusion.

“And what is so special about it? Isn't your uncle the owner of that place? Besides he is a member of your family then how it is….”

“Because after losing his wife, my uncle stopped interacting with his family,” he told her.

“What?” Nina uttered, perplexed. Cain nodded.

“I mean he does come to meet his parents but that happens very occasionally. It's been more than 7 or 8 years since his wife died and from that day when he lost her, my uncle started distancing himself from everyone, even his own family. He has stopped attending family get-to-gatherings but tomorrow, as per Eara’s request, he agrees to join everyone for her birthday celebration because my uncle couldn't say no to his 3 years old niece's birthday wish,” he explained to her and now Nina finally understood every single thing that why tomorrow was going to be so special for his entire family.

“That's good. I hope you and your entire family will have a beautiful time together,”she wished him, making him smile.

“Well, tomorrow you can also meet my family for the first time. I can introduce you to them finally,” he said and his words turned Nina a bit anxious. She had never met any of Cain's family members before and meeting his entire family at once sounded a bit nervousing.

“What happened? Don't you want to meet them?” Cain asked, seeing that tensed reaction on her face.

“No, it's not like that. I mean I will be working there as a waitress and ….” She halted but he understood the reason behind her hesitancy.

“You don't have to worry about that. I am more than sure that my family is going to love you, especially my mother, Niley and my grandma Aniya,” he tried to ease her down. Nina finally beamed at him and then nodded at him.

“So it's been decided, I will introduce you to my family tomorrow,” he uttered and now about meeting his family finally started making her feel excited but little did she know that this excitement of hers was going to turn into a nightmare for her when tomorrow, for the first time, she was going to be in front of Rican Alfanso.
