Aurora POV

I’m just waiting for Ryder to come back with my so-called birthday present hoping it wasn’t anything too big as I’ll be very mad at him for even buying me something in the 1st place, he knows how much I hate my birthday since losing my father in the rouge war 8 years ago but due to it being my 18th I’ve agreed to allow him to give me a present this once. There was a loud knock on the door and before I could shout for them to come in, I saw the door burst open and in came Poppy really excited to see what Ryder had brought me for my birthday followed by Ryder, who I could see was carrying something very large. Ryder looked up at me with a big cheesy grin on his face and I just rolled my eyes at him hard, he placed the present on the floor and was turning around to leave the room again. “Aurora, please open this while I’m gone so you won’t want to kill me, I’m going to collect the snacks from Flora.” He said with as much excitement as Poppy was showing me bouncing on the sofa
