At night, Jilly and Kook visited Isalit bar. They are regularly checking the business, not for the bar but for what's happening around and in the bar. It's not just a nightclub, transactions always happened day and night.
Since they merged their business not long ago, Jilly or Kook always tried to visit and checked by themselves.
Jilly is served her usual drink, Cosmopolitan.
"Can you get me three shots of vodka and two of tequila, Alex?" Jilly asked the bartender who is close to her. Because Alex was quick and neat. Something that Jilly likes in a person to work with. Even though he's not working for her.
"For sure." He replied and poured the vodka and tequila into shot glasses right away. Then, he laid them out in front of her.
"It's been a while," Kook muttered, seeing Jilly ordered a shot.
Jilly didn't mind him and took the shots in order without a stop. Her throat does feel the burns and it was strong but good. The liquid made its way down to her chest and made a burning sensation. It was enough to cover the little pain she felt.
"It's quite crowded. Is there a new stock coming in?" Alex asked directly to Kook, but Jilly answered first.
"No, I was just spreading the words. I guess some people do listen to me well." She said, looking back to the dance floor.
"I see. Oh! The boss is here." Alex exclaimed as he's looking in the direction of where he was coming from. A few seconds after, Jilly felt a hand on her lower back. She tensed as the hand touched her skin.
She turned around and found Gael instead. She secretly sighed that it was not him. But now, she could see him in her vision line.
"Gael, you've heard," Jilly stated, forcing a smile up to her lips.
"Of course, so I have to check it out. I was hoping that you would tell me yourself. But, I'm so glad that I can catch you here." Gael spoke as he got touchy with her and she didn't mind it. It could distract her and he should have backed off by now.
"I didn't know you were here. Did your Papa knows you're here?" Gael is the son of the Spanish mafia and he was strictly forbidden from coming to the US by his father. But, he always found a way to get off his father's tail and flew.
"Of course... not. I'll be in big trouble then. So, how about dinner?" He asked right away. He might not stay for long before his father demanded him to go back.
"Hmm?" She suddenly doesn't feel good, her head felt lightheaded and nauseous. Everything is a mess a moment later. She threw up on Gael and hopped off the chair to let it all out.
Gael whined and quickly backed away from it and her. Cayne and Kook who saw that immediately ran up to her and helped her up before she gets to smash her face all over her own vomit.
Cayne took over by carrying her in his arms bridal style and he occupied one of the VIP rooms to laid her down.
Jilly was the one who is not feeling well, but Cayne was the one on fire. He felt the need to take care of her immediately without caring what she would do when she saw him later.
"What are you doing?" Cayne heard Kook spoke.
"Changing her clothes." Cayne replied with the obvious reason. He sat down on the edge of the sofa beside her, so it's clear that he's going to clean her up.
"And leave her naked?!"
"Of course not! She has spare clothes here that I keep." Cayne replied to Kook who stood by the closed door. He kept on glaring at Cayne. He could feel that something was up between them.
"What did you do to my sister?" Kook's voice came out deeper as he set his eyes on him. He is suspecting something and he's going to find out from his mouth.
"I didn't do anything yet." Cayne thought that Kook was referring to the situation they are in right now. But as Cayne turned around, he can see that Kook is not talking about right now. Kook's look of expecting and eyes didn't waver made Cayne gulped.
"Don't touch her. Just give me the clothes and I'll change her myself. Get lost, Cayne." Kook said, walking closer to where his sister is being laid. "Go." He demanded coldly. He spared no glance to him and made everything clear that he wanted nothing to do with him anymore.
"I'm not going anywhere," Cayne said in determination. He will stay put and be here until she woke up.
"Then you need to open that mouth of yours and start talking. What did you do to my sister?!!" Kook roared out to him. His patience is never to be tested, everyone knew that.
His piercing eyes stared deadly at Cayne.
"I cheated on her," Cayne replied shamefully.
"With Kathrine? No wonder." Kook commented. He knew, he just never brought it up.
"What?" He asked in bewilderment.
"Come on, you think she only slept with you? And she couldn't even keep her mouth shut. Do you know why? Because she felt guilty for Jilly. But, she couldn't stop coming to you. I'm sure Isaiah and Katherine was a fairytale." Kook nodded his head in provoking.
"Move away now, Cayne. Don't make me put a bullet to your head. It is still a friendly reminder." Kook said in finality.
"I promised to fix our relationship." Cayne was still hoping and believed that he could fixed their relationship.
"Did she said she wants to?" Seeing Cayne stayed quiet made everything clear to him. Cayne is so done for and whatever he was going to do, it would come in vain.
"I'm sure she has said what she needed to say. Listened to her and do as she wishes. You owe her to that extent. Don't try to pursue her when she doesn't want to. If over is over, then is it, Cayne. Do you hear me?
"Are you awake?" A manly voice asked a sleeping Jilly who woken up from her beauty sleep."Hmm." Jilly hummed. She slept peacefully on the soft and comfortable bed. She loved his bed too much. The bed is just like the one they used to sleep on when they were kids."Do you enjoy my bed so much than my presence?" He asked and let out a chuckled."Yes," Jilly replied hoarsely, typical someone who just woke up."If I have a girlfriend, she will be mad seeing you in my bed and enjoying it way too much." He said, still keeping an eye on Jilly whose wrapped in a blanket."Well, too bad Mr. Almighty, you have none," Jilly replied sarcastically. She sat up slowly and stretched her body. "Ah..
It's been two weeks since Jilly stayed in Italy with Marco. But now, it's time for her to go home. She couldn't keep her work on hold for long."Will you come with me?"-Jilly had arrived in New York. The first thing she goes to is the bar. Her brother texted her, saying that if she could come down to check on the delivery for today. He couldn't make it due to a job in another state. She would love to go home, but she missed working already as the New York air hits her nostril. The taxi dropped her off in front of the entrance. The truck usually goes to the back as they unloaded. The bar is closed and very quiet as usual. They would get crowded once the night hits.
"You came." Jilly smiled as she opened the door for him to let him into her house. She had told the receptionist that she is expecting a guest to come, so he should be passed without questioning. "Of course, I made a promise." Marco stepped into her house. He came with only himself and the clothes he was wearing. That should not be a problem, because he could always buy a new pair of clothes or if he preferred, he could walk around naked. "Will you go so soon?" Jilly asked. She was closer to Marco than she was to Kook, her sibling by blood. "We will have to see about that later. I am staying, but I can't promise to stay for long. Is that okay?" Marco ruffled the top of her head. He gave her a loving smile and strode towards the guest room where he usually stayed whenever he visited
"What?" Cayne was left mindblown yet again. "Well then, have fun fighting for her with that brother of mine." Jilly moved past him and walked as fast as she could to get to the car. "Jilly." He called for her, but she didn't even give him a second glance. She was hurt, more than hurting. If she could just put her pain into words, her heart wouldn't be bleeding from the pain. - Six months have passed, Jilly was nowhere near New York. Cayne had been struggling to keep up with his business. If it's not for his brother who stepped up, his business might have crumbled down. For a while, his bother had taken over everything. Lincoln had no experience running a nightclub. His business
Jilly and Kook stood in front of Katherine's house. Kook looked uncomfortable, he turned to Jilly to make sure for the last time."Are you sure we're doing this in her house?" Kook asked. He never did an execution in someone's house, especially his staff. He rarely ever get his hands dirty."Very sure, Kook. Are you afraid to find something you are not ready for?" Jilly taunted him. She knew what was going on with him and Katherine. Whoever she was going to hurt in the process of hurting Cayne, those are not her responsibilities."I fuck her. That doesn't make her my girlfriend." Kook was not a jealousy type. He will get jealous of those he cares about. With Katherine, he was just not there yet."But you have a thing for her. So, brac
"I don't, baby." Cayne replied strongly. He doesn't want to repeat the past, ever. He had tasted the wrath of Julliane Bakerhubb. Never, ever he wanted to face her again."Then stop playing around and do your job precisely." Jilly sternly said to put him in his place. She never once lowered her gun which was pointing at the back of his head."I just wanted to see you. I missed you." Cayne said what he intended to say. Jilly wanted to laugh so hard when she heard that."Do I wanted to see you? I've been gone for a reason. One and clearly to be away from you. I would never want to see myself as a third wheel anymore. I am so done with you, Isaiah. If I could, I would kill you so I don't have to see your face again." As bitter as she was towards him, she would never kill the man she once loved.Aware of the gun on the back of his head, he needed to be fast to avoid an unwanted fire. He moved his head to
Jilly wanted to go back on the plane right away. But, Marco asked to stay the night because he was going to meet someone around the neighborhood, as in the next town. So, the next day, Jilly stayed home as Marco went away for his business. She was not afraid to leave everything behind, she never felt tied down to the place she lived in right now, not even for her family. She ordered breakfast because she doesn't want to leave dirty dishes. She was leaving not just because she wanted to, but for a side job as well. She knew who would come to her door to deliver the food. He would take the opportunity to come to her door. When the doorbell rang, she walked to the door to get her food. Expect the expected, she just knew it."I didn't know
"Rachel," Jilly called out the name on the list she held in her hand. It was listed on the paper clipped to the writing board."Presence." Jilly looked up at the voice and smirked."You're hard to get rid of, huh?" She asked the girl. Her case was not that different from Jilly's. Marcus found her and brought her in. The difference is, she's more like Katherine than Jilly. So, it's either she dead or dedicated her life to the mafia world which she soon to be discovered if she passed through all the training."Here to stay. Well, there's only the three of us now." Rachel, a blonde girl with fierce eyes pointed to themselves."You're right. If the three of you passed until the very end, you have a bright future ahead of you." Jilly said. Indeed, from the seven names on the list, there are only three girls remained in the house."We know because we're looking at one," Sara said while
