"Are you awake?" A manly voice asked a sleeping Jilly who woken up from her beauty sleep.
"Hmm." Jilly hummed. She slept peacefully on the soft and comfortable bed. She loved his bed too much. The bed is just like the one they used to sleep on when they were kids.
"Do you enjoy my bed so much than my presence?" He asked and let out a chuckled.
"Yes," Jilly replied hoarsely, typical someone who just woke up.
"If I have a girlfriend, she will be mad seeing you in my bed and enjoying it way too much." He said, still keeping an eye on Jilly whose wrapped in a blanket.
"Well, too bad Mr. Almighty, you have none," Jilly replied sarcastically. She sat up slowly and stretched her body. "Ah... I feel like swimming today." She said out of the blue.
"What? Are you in your right mind?" He asked out of surprise. How could she have thought of going swimming right after she woke up? "Right, you just woke up. Of course, your mind is still clouded. Don't say nonsense like that."
"I am not, Marco. Let's jump off the cliff." Jilly emphasized every word. Because she was dead serious. She shot him a glare to shut him up and just to agree with her wish.
"No..." Marco rejected her wish softly.
"Marco! I'll fucking cut your dick off if you refused me." Jilly threatened him, glaring at him.
"I don't want to go swimming, Jilly. It's too cold today. I turned off the air conditioning, did you noticed?" Marco pointed out to the wall where his air conditioning is placed. Jilly followed where he was pointing at and he was right. She felt cool and thought it was the air conditioning.
"Your ex had been calling you non-stop. I picked it up, at last, so he stopped calling. He doesn't know me, does he?" Marco asked. From the voice itself, Marco can tell that Cayne was mad. But, he enjoyed the moment very much.
"I would never kiss and tell," Jilly replied and shrugged.
"That's what I love about you." He winked and got up from the chair. He walked up to her and kissed her on the lips. Then, he walked away to go to the bathroom.
After Marco is gone, Jilly puts her dress back on which was at the end of the bed. She got off the bed and tied her hair up in a bun. She walked to the balcony where Marco was sitting. He had a marvelous house by the coast, a different one from his parents'. His balcony is facing the blue sea and it was always mesmerizing whenever Jilly come to visit.
But, her visit is not always pure a visit. His father hired Jilly to do some work and Jilly never refused his offer. His offer is too intriguing to be missed.
This visit is an exception. She came here to visit Marco and the family to get away from New York for a while. She wanted to try to be okay and accepted what had come her way. From the beginning, she knew his reputation. She knew how he was and how he worked.
"Are you going to shower?" Marco came out of the bathroom, looking so wet and fresh. The water is still dripping from his hair, but he is fully clothed. Too bad, Jilly didn't come close to be obsessed with him. They are just casually together. They had a stronger bond than just a friend.
"Of course. I should look good wherever I am." Jilly replied and he smiled, agreed with her. At this moment, he would do anything to make her happy. He never really experienced a heartbreak, but seeing her looked so down which she barely does sadden him and sympathized for her.

"You don't have a job for me, Marcus?" Jilly suddenly asked as she put her breakfast into her mouth. Marcus didn't find it disrespectful, he is used to her reckless behavior.
"No, Jilly. I don't have anyone to kill for now." Marcus replied, then he shot his son a look in asking what is going on with Jilly. This was the first she ever asked for a job to him. Usually, he had to reach out to her and the list was never short.
"Well, too bad. I am feeling like shooting a bullet spree." She munched on her food in front of a mafia don. There are only the three of them in the dining room. They are just talking about business here and there, so that was why his mother isn't present. But, she made the food for Jilly and she thanked her a bunch for that.
"You know, I always waited for your call. You are my biggest link to my job." Jilly continued.
"What do you mean? I always called you first. It's just, you never put me last, Jilly." Marcus frowned at her complaint. She pouted at him. That kind of true, she was not the only one who managed her calls, Katherine helped.
"Did you enjoy your breakfast?" Marcus asked her.
"Yes."
"Okay. I have to go now, enjoy your day." Marcus got up from the chair and left the room. Jilly turned her head quickly to Marco.
"Is he going to work?" She whispered.
"Of course," Marco replied.
"Should we follow him?" She continued to whisper like she was planning a big game to achieve.
"No, we should never do that or he will kill me." Marco replied, emphasized the 'me'. He even gave her a look to not crossed his father. So, he could have a peaceful life or relationship in the future.
"You're such a baby." Jilly rolled her eyes in a bored manner. She's being silly, why would she follow a mafia don to work? Or even spying on him. Maybe, because she wanted to feel the rush.
"This baby made you satisfied last night. Because you got addicted to him after the first taste." Marco proudly pointed to himself.
"Right, I would never bang you if you're not so handsome and guarantee of satisfaction. After all, I would never sleep with a random guy." Jilly suddenly became sad. Pictures of him and his first love flashed in her mind. "It hurts, Marco. It will always be."
"Don't cry, Jilly. You have built yourself to be a strong woman. Don't let him crumble your walls and turn you into dust." It pained him to see a strong woman like Jilly who grew up along with him hurting because of a man who couldn't love her right.
It's been two weeks since Jilly stayed in Italy with Marco. But now, it's time for her to go home. She couldn't keep her work on hold for long."Will you come with me?"-Jilly had arrived in New York. The first thing she goes to is the bar. Her brother texted her, saying that if she could come down to check on the delivery for today. He couldn't make it due to a job in another state. She would love to go home, but she missed working already as the New York air hits her nostril. The taxi dropped her off in front of the entrance. The truck usually goes to the back as they unloaded. The bar is closed and very quiet as usual. They would get crowded once the night hits.
"You came." Jilly smiled as she opened the door for him to let him into her house. She had told the receptionist that she is expecting a guest to come, so he should be passed without questioning. "Of course, I made a promise." Marco stepped into her house. He came with only himself and the clothes he was wearing. That should not be a problem, because he could always buy a new pair of clothes or if he preferred, he could walk around naked. "Will you go so soon?" Jilly asked. She was closer to Marco than she was to Kook, her sibling by blood. "We will have to see about that later. I am staying, but I can't promise to stay for long. Is that okay?" Marco ruffled the top of her head. He gave her a loving smile and strode towards the guest room where he usually stayed whenever he visited
"What?" Cayne was left mindblown yet again. "Well then, have fun fighting for her with that brother of mine." Jilly moved past him and walked as fast as she could to get to the car. "Jilly." He called for her, but she didn't even give him a second glance. She was hurt, more than hurting. If she could just put her pain into words, her heart wouldn't be bleeding from the pain. - Six months have passed, Jilly was nowhere near New York. Cayne had been struggling to keep up with his business. If it's not for his brother who stepped up, his business might have crumbled down. For a while, his bother had taken over everything. Lincoln had no experience running a nightclub. His business
Jilly and Kook stood in front of Katherine's house. Kook looked uncomfortable, he turned to Jilly to make sure for the last time."Are you sure we're doing this in her house?" Kook asked. He never did an execution in someone's house, especially his staff. He rarely ever get his hands dirty."Very sure, Kook. Are you afraid to find something you are not ready for?" Jilly taunted him. She knew what was going on with him and Katherine. Whoever she was going to hurt in the process of hurting Cayne, those are not her responsibilities."I fuck her. That doesn't make her my girlfriend." Kook was not a jealousy type. He will get jealous of those he cares about. With Katherine, he was just not there yet."But you have a thing for her. So, brac
"I don't, baby." Cayne replied strongly. He doesn't want to repeat the past, ever. He had tasted the wrath of Julliane Bakerhubb. Never, ever he wanted to face her again."Then stop playing around and do your job precisely." Jilly sternly said to put him in his place. She never once lowered her gun which was pointing at the back of his head."I just wanted to see you. I missed you." Cayne said what he intended to say. Jilly wanted to laugh so hard when she heard that."Do I wanted to see you? I've been gone for a reason. One and clearly to be away from you. I would never want to see myself as a third wheel anymore. I am so done with you, Isaiah. If I could, I would kill you so I don't have to see your face again." As bitter as she was towards him, she would never kill the man she once loved.Aware of the gun on the back of his head, he needed to be fast to avoid an unwanted fire. He moved his head to
Jilly wanted to go back on the plane right away. But, Marco asked to stay the night because he was going to meet someone around the neighborhood, as in the next town. So, the next day, Jilly stayed home as Marco went away for his business. She was not afraid to leave everything behind, she never felt tied down to the place she lived in right now, not even for her family. She ordered breakfast because she doesn't want to leave dirty dishes. She was leaving not just because she wanted to, but for a side job as well. She knew who would come to her door to deliver the food. He would take the opportunity to come to her door. When the doorbell rang, she walked to the door to get her food. Expect the expected, she just knew it."I didn't know
"Rachel," Jilly called out the name on the list she held in her hand. It was listed on the paper clipped to the writing board."Presence." Jilly looked up at the voice and smirked."You're hard to get rid of, huh?" She asked the girl. Her case was not that different from Jilly's. Marcus found her and brought her in. The difference is, she's more like Katherine than Jilly. So, it's either she dead or dedicated her life to the mafia world which she soon to be discovered if she passed through all the training."Here to stay. Well, there's only the three of us now." Rachel, a blonde girl with fierce eyes pointed to themselves."You're right. If the three of you passed until the very end, you have a bright future ahead of you." Jilly said. Indeed, from the seven names on the list, there are only three girls remained in the house."We know because we're looking at one," Sara said while
"Jilly!" She was awoken from her daydream by his voice. She turned her head to find Marco stood next to her. She raised her eyebrow at him in question."Yes?""Mom is preparing lunch. We should go." He said. He was confused to found her daydreaming like that."What about the kids?" As she asked, her head turned towards where the three girls were supposed to be. She frowned when she saw no one was there."I sent them away," Marco replied. "Can we go now?"Instead of going as he asked, Jilly suddenly wrapped her arms around him. She rested her head on his chest."What's wrong?" He asked softly and rubbed her back softly. He could see that she needed some comfort, so he was providing her one."Why did they look up to me like I'm some kind of hero?" She asked in confusion. That was the first time she ever heard people saying things like that
