Josh pov

We both stiffened as doc walks up his face blank and I feel Lucas brace himself.

"it was her appendix and we got it on time",his relieved breath of air made me relax.

"is she really okay?",Lucas looked ready to cry.

"yes Lucas she is really okay. Is Claire okay?",I nodded holding her close.

"yes just tired from all the excitement",he nodded and smiled.

"Gemma will be put in recovery and after to her room. Do you want her in with Claire?",I sighed.

"yes both need each other right now",be nodded and left. My dad came by as we moved to Claire's room to wait on Gemma. Lucas sat by the bed looking tired but he stayed quiet.

Gemma was brought in a few hours later and he stood while they switched her to the bed in the room. Lucas covered her and listened as they said she will be hurting when she wakes.

"she will be okay bro just relax",he nodded and sat waiting for his mate to wake. I watched Claire shift and I covered her more before sitting beside her.

"so a pup",Lucas says loo
