Chapter 32- Wedding gown

In the capital city

It was almost midnight when Daniel Brooke came back to the guest house. The day was long, and the workload was heavy. Ever since he had come to the capital city with Mr. Mayor, he was working very hard. He was very tired. After taking a bath, he laid on the bed. He tried to sleep but whenever he closed his eyes, Lisa's beautiful face flashed in his mind. He didn't talk to her since he got engaged with Jasmine Brown. His engagement news had spread like wildfire in 'X' city. Undoubtedly, she might have known about it. She might be very sad. He was agitated by this thought. 

He was happy with her. Why did these complications come all of a sudden? He sat up on the bed. He grabbed his phone and dialed her number, but it was switched off. 

He sighed deeply.
