CHAPTER 22

LILIANA POV

I tried to push him away but he was too strong. I can't believe this was happening to him. I can't think and focus. I want to break free from his grip.

"Xavier! Let me go! I can't breathe!" those were the last words that came out of my mouth. And finally, he let me go.

I choked and tried to compose myself. This is the first time I felt scared of him.

His eyes went wide as he stares at the hand that he used to hold my neck.

"What is happening to you?" I cried.

He looked at me and then around him. His face looks like he has been in a long nightmare and finally, he woke up.
