LILIANA POV

I made sure that I will be home before my husband woke up today. He has been asleep for hours since the medicine from doctor Tien took effect on him. I asked the maids to prepare his favorite food. I knew he was still weak, so I brought him his food. I opened the bedroom door and as expected he was now fully awake. I placed his food on the table, his hair was a mess from a deep sleep.

“How are you feeling, Xavier?” I was still worried about him.

“I feel a little better love. Thank you for being here with me,” he replied.

His husky voice always makes me shiver.

He reached for my hands and pulled me into a hug. His presence is comforting, I want to stay like this forever.

I pulled away and smiled. I want him to forget everything that caused him pain.

“Let’s eat Xavier, you need to gain strength. Remember, you promised me that we will have a trip later these days right,” he is right, we need a break from all the pressures.

“Yes, Lily. We need a break,” he winked.
