chapter 5 who is it?

After dinner, Arianne's parents retire into their room. While she wash the dishes and made sure that everything is secured and doors are locked. 

Then after, Arianne went up to her room. She don't have school the next day so she planned on spending her night eating junk food and watching Netflix. As she grab a piece of doughnut while watching the vampire diaries, her phone rings. She lazily get up and took her phone on the desk and answer it while keeping her eyes on the tv and munching the doughnut.

Arianne just love multitasking!

"hello?" she muttered to the unknown caller.

"hi baby! It's me Jace!"

"Jace? oh my god is it really you? how have you been? i'm hoping you're okay at least!" she said in exaggeration and take note of the sarcasm too.

"I miss you too baby!" he said playfully.

"cut it Jace! who gave you my number?"

"why? I never want to see you behind bars baby!" Jace said chuckling.

"jaceeeee!!!! I am busy! What?"

"and what exactly are you doing now to make you say that huh baby?"

"first stop calling me baby second I'm watching vampire diaries and third I'm having doughnuts!"

"whoa! that's a lot to handle ba-"

"Jace!!!!"

"okay okay! what did you eat for dinner?" Jace said trying to change the topic.

"I've had lasagna!"

"wow! that's my favorite!"

"that's one of my mom's specialty. You should try it some time."

"so are you inviting me to your house then?"

"no way! my dad will gonna freak out you know if he sees me with a boy omg you'll never live to learn what he'll do to you!"

"then tell him I'm gay! no problem for me!"

"are you insane? you? gay? look at your built even your height. That is so impossible boy!"

"Ohh I'm so unfortunate! I've got nobody to take care of me!"

"shut up Jace. Fine! one time I'm gonna cook for you!"

"really can you cook? Is it edible?"

"well I can cook a little but not as good as my mom. Speaking of which, why do you say nobody takes care of you? where are your parents?"

"my parents are not always around. They've been busy with business. Anyways, you cooking is another plus in your profile then...I'm impressed!" Jace shifting the topic again.

Arianne can't help but felt bad for Jace. Her parents always made sure that she's taken care well.

"what profile is it?" catching on Jace last statement.

"well its kinda weird but I ask someone in your school about you and luckily I've found a lot huh?"

"omg! Why did you do that? what did you find out? hurry tell me Jace!"

"calm down tiger! nothing much just now I know that you are Arianne Alessandra Miller. Born on August 17 and your 16. You are the editor in chief of your school journal. You're a candidate for being your batch valedictorian. That makes you nerdy much huh? No boyfriend since birth. And you love to eat, that I know already, although you're not fond of exercise or any other strenuous activity."

"whoa stalker much? and to whom do I have to show my gratittude for giving my personal information to you?"

"don't worry that much baby, you're all good! so why you're still awake now?" Jace said ignoring her question about his source.

"I don't have school tomorrow!"

"lucky you! unlike us."

"you don't seem so happy going to your school?!! why? does the almighty Jace has bullies all over? tell me!" it's her turn to tease her.

"of course not! school is okay! its just okay. I'm okay Yanna!"

"wow did I allow you to call me that?"

"why do you prefer to be called baby?"

"definitely not. I'm okay with that. so what's troubling you?"

"well my grades are falling. And my dad said if it will go on like that then I have to stop playing football and focus on my studies."

"that's reasonable enough I think Jace!"

"but Yanna I love football." he said whining and Arianne thought he did sound cute.

"okay maybe I can help. What subject you found difficult to understand?"

"like almost all of it?"

"how badly as it sounds. okay Jace I want to help you. But let me check my schedule first huh? can you send me your schedule. So I could set us a time for studying."

"okay Yanna thank you so much! I'll buy you lots of food then. hahaha!"

"quit it Jace. I just want to help you and we're not even starting yet. maybe next time though!" she then let out a small laugh.

"its okay Yanna I know I will learn from you. you're the no.1 student your school has remember?"

"whatever Jace! omg I forgot I'm watching tv. Its all your fault!" partly blaming him for forgetting she's watching her favorite series and now it's done.

"Hahaha! very funny! just turn off the tv baby! what happen to your food?"

"its all done."

"good job Yanna! I'm very proud of you!"

"hey its not like I finished it all. I gave my dad 3 and mom 2. So its just 7 doughnuts at all." She said in defense.

"very impressive calculation baby. But I need my beauty rest now unlike you I still have school tomorrow. Goodnight baby dream of me!"

"goodnight Jace, keep dreaming!" Arianne ended the call while rolling her eyes.

Deep inside she's glad that he called. Arianne thought she's having a crush on him. She loves talking to him and he's hot so it's normal maybe to be fascinated by him.

But she's too shy to tell her feelings even to her own friends. Arianne has a few crushes before but they're not the same as Jace. She really think that Jace is one of a kind. 

Arianne then decided to wash up in the bathroom and get ready to bed. But when she's already in her bed, she can't make herself sleep and Jace image keep showing in her mind. Pfft! 

A few minutes later, Arianne took a book in her bookshelf and started reading it.
