Lucian's POV.

I was seated in my room with plenty of thoughts running in my mind when I felt someone's gaze on me.

I directed my eyes towards the doors, and that was when I noticed Martha stood there with a nice look on her face. She was a good mother who did all she could to make sure her daughter was safe.

“You seemed lost in thought,” she explained with a small smile on her face, walking into the room.

I noticed that ever since her daughter had been cured, she made her daughter stay away from me. It was obvious she was coming to plead about her daughter's mistake. Almost like they couldn't face me.

I wasn't bothered. Everybody makes mistakes, especially for love. Just look at Aric, who got corrupted, and was even determined to wipe out the entire pack because of his obsession with Kira.

I had gotten my memories back, but the problem was connecting with the voice I had been hearing in my head, but it didn't seem to be working.
