Kira's pov.

"Elsa!!" The screams resonated in my head over, and over again.

******

It was the full moon, and as usual, I sat at the bar with a long expression on my face.

The cool music played while I slowly sipped my drink. Pain flashed before my eyes because all I could see was blood from that night.

This place had a way of bringing back the memories I had tried so hard to suppress. Besides that, I always came to the bar to find someone who I hoped I would meet again.

The usual happened at the club. Girls dancing, music playing, and people drinking as they watched the girl who pleased them with their seductive dancing steps.

That used to be my job until I lost my sister. It was exactly two years ago.

"It's all my fault!" Just thinking about her death made me clench the glass so tight that it shattered in an instant.

Even I was shocked by my strength which was fueled by my anger.

"Ma'am, are you going to pay for that?" The already frustrated bartender asked with furrowed brows, but I just rolled my eyes.

This was the usual nagging I received due to my temper, and this was certainly not my first time shattering the glasses here.

"Well, I'm guessing you have to because that's the third glass you broke tonight!" He continued his sentence when I didn't reply, making me lift my lowered head, so I could look in his eyes.

Disgust plastered all over my face, making me raise my nose, and my eyes scanned him with hate. He brought out the aggressive side I rather tried to tame.

"Shut the fuck up, and let me have more drink in peace!" I argued almost drunk as I pulled the bottle of wine out of his hands in an attempt to fully forget about the incident, but that was a disaster because the wine ended up being spilled to the floor.

"You're crazy!" The bartender yelled with fury in his eyes. He couldn't take my behaviour anymore. However, nothing he did seemed to get to me

"You know what? I'll get--"

Before he could complete his words, I grabbed his hands tight, and was about to land a punch on his face when my hand hung midair.

My eyes widened, and I instantly sniffed the air while I slowly let go of the bartender's arm.

“MATE!!” My wolf roared fiercely.

Whoever he was, he smelled like cider, and the woods that I so craved.

I searched the club with my eyes, while my heart raced like crazy. Butterflies filled my tummy, and I wanted him.

This was something impossible! I never thought an omega like me could find a mate, let alone at the club where high ranking wolves were let in, and omegas like us were expected to entertain them.

My wolf wanted to set herself free, she wanted to see who the moon goddess had destined for her to be with, and since his scent was that strong, it meant that he was a JACKPOT.

My eyes were fixed at the entrance where the scent was strongly present, and I gulped, feeling nervous to find out who it was.

"C’mon, C’mon!" I urged through gritted teeth, and clenched my hands in excitement, while looking through the numerous men that seemed like guards in suits. They were highly professional, no doubt.

However, my heart instantly dropped in my chest when I saw him. My eyes widened even more, and my lips parted a little before my face gathered the strongest expression it could show.

The black haired, grey eyed, and six footed male was the same bastard from two years ago!

Instantly, rage kicked in, making me grab the bottle on the bar table, and without thinking, I rushed towards him with gritted teeth, and every ounce of strength I could muster.

"You bastard!" I barked as I tried to make my way through his guards who instantly obstructed my movements.

"Ugh, Fools! Leave the way so I can teach this murderer a lesson!" I fought my way through them, but I turned pale when I realised that my five footed self didn't stand a chance against the huge men.

They held me by the arm, and kept me a good distance away from the man who walked up to me.

He looked like a Greek god. His eyes stared at me, and for some reasons he smirked, turning to his men who he nodded at.

His ways were strange, and whatever he did seemed like a code because they nodded back.

Panic filled my being, and I instantly began to tremble in his cold presence that loomed closer to me.

My knees turned weak, and my lips quivered as I darted my eyes to get an answer to his gesture.

"What? No!" Out of defence, I kicked one of them by the shin, and tried to run away, but I was blocked again.

His guards were just too many. Not to mention the fact that they were at the entrance.

"Let me go, let me go!" Having so much to drink didn't let me plan because I regretted rushing towards him that way.

"Fucking let me go!" I still tried to prove strong despite all that happened to me.

Even the people at the club acted like they had seen nothing, and continued with their normal lives.

"Don't touch me. You're helping a murderer!"

My breathing uneven, and I tried to get out of there, but they held me down.

Two of them grabbed both my wrist, and the other held my shoulder to keep me still for the one who had pulled out something from his pocket to do what he was told.

At first, I couldn't see it, but when I did, I knew I had seen them do something like this in the movies.

"No, no! please.." I shook my head, trying to avoid the white handkerchief they tried to put on me. My sweat was a salty mix with my tears that trailed down to my cheek.

However, that still didn't help because they were designed to obey orders. At last, my struggle was useless, and I found that I had fallen right into his trap.

"No..." I whispered regrettably.

My vision got blurry, and the last thing I saw was his face towering over mine before my eyes slowly welcomed the darkness.

"DON'T TOUCH ME…”
