HAPPY MOMENTS

            On hearing this from his dad, Bryan jumped up from his seat and went to where his parents were seated. He jumped on them like it was long he saw them. His dad just said immediately...

"Don't be too happy yet son, because we have not finished yet"!

     He continued...

"Your mom and I have decided also that...we will only give our support and concent IF...! I mean...IF, you and Angela would agree to live with us after your wedding".

          Bryan got scared! He gave his friend Shane a kind of look, like that of a confused man. He didn't even know what to say anymore... neither did he have any option in mind at that particular time. Though he knew he's the only child of his parents, and they don't want to loose him, for there would be no one to stay with them after he must have left their house for his own, to live with his wife. And also, he neva wanted to live with his parents, nor his wife's parents after marriage. All because he felt they should have their own privacy as a couple, and also enjoy it to the fullest. 

              With regards to his parents condition, the only answer to their plight was to say to them ...

"Mom... Dad... I understand your fears, but please try to understand mine too... Please....".

"I do not have an option right now, neither do I have an objection either".

"But please...give me some time, let me think about it properly first, before taking any decision(s)". 

             The parents understood his point, and they did not want to force him into doing what he would not be comfortable doing. So, the father gave his wife a look of agreeing to what their son said. And then the dad replied,

"You have all the time in the world my son, please just take your time".

                The discussion between the family and friend lasted for hours, that it was already getting very late into the night, at about 08:16pm. And because of that, Shane just could not go back home because he does not enjoy moving at night. So he decided to pass the night at Bryan's place. After the discussion, Mr Joey and his wife, Mrs Jane left the living room for their bedroom. While Bryan and Shane left as well for Bryan's room. 

                 On reaching their room, Shane engaged Bryan in a discussion concerning what transpired between himself and his parents. He said,

"Guy...what are you going to do about what your parents are conditioning you to"?

            Bryan answered, saying....

" Honestly...I understand my parents fears, but I do not know what to do right now".

          Shane replied...

"I think you should discuss it with Angela first before concluding on anything. What do you think"?

 "I think discussing with Angela is the best thing to do right now". Said Bryan.

"Thanks man, I will go over to her place to speak with her in two days time". He said also.

                Both friends retired for the night to regain their lost energy. At that time, Mr and Mrs Joey were having a discussion about their decision. Mrs Jane asked her husband, saying...

"Honey, do you think our son would agree to our condition"?

            My Joey replied,

"I do not want to be either pessimistic, nor be optimistic here, but I just want us to leave our son to take whatever decision that he feels would be best for him".

           Mrs Jane smiled, and said, 

"Well...you are right! I think that's the best thing to do".

             They both agreed on letting Bryan take the decision solely on whether to stay in their house after his wedding to Angela, or not. The morning of the following day came, Shane and Bryan got up from the bed and joined the domestic staff to do some chores in the house. Afterwards, freshened up, had breakfast with everyone, and then set out for Shane's place to do some wedding planning together. Shane was so happy to have Bryan around. The feeling was mutual also for Bryan. They both have been very good friends since childhood. Bryan passed the night at Shane's place to get enough time to discuss with him.

              Just as planned by the two friends that Bryan would go over to Angela's house to discuss, he prepared himself the very morning of the following day at Shane's place, and went over to Angela's house. When he got there, Angela was so happy to see him. He greeted her parents, and every other person around. Sat and discussed with them for a moment, and signalled Angela to meet him outside. He excused himself, and Angela followed. Both of them met outside and they began their discussion. Bryan was the first to initiate a talk. Saying...

"Hope you're doing fine, my darling..."?

        Angela replied...

"Yes I am love"!

"Hope you are good too"?. She asked

        Bryan answered,

"Yeah I am good, thank you"!

        They continued...

"Actually, there's a little challenge with regards to our wedding plans", said Bryan.

      Angela wasn't happy to hear that from Bryan. Out of curiosity, she asked him..

"What's the matter my love..."?

          Bryan replied,

"That's why I am here for us to talk about it, and to know your own opinion". He continued...

 "Mom and Dad said they would allow us to get married, only if we would stay in their house after our wedding".

            Angela asked immediately,

"But why"?

Bryan answered.

"They're scared of loosing me"!

" You know I am the only child they have, right.."?

 Angela replied,

"Yes I do...but..."

"But why...? You Know we won't have our time to ourselves if we decide to live with them, right..?

           Bryan understood her point, because that is thesame fear he has, and the feeling he got immediately his father said that to him. And hearing same from Angela, made him scared. He then asked her....

"So what do you think we should do now"?

           The response Angela gave Bryan was quite okay by him, but not completely. She responded with...

"Okay...let's do it this way",

"Let us agree to their condition, and after our wedding, we will stay with them for like a year or two, and then, relocate to our own house". She continued...

"It's just a suggestion my love...you still have the final say to this".
