“Hey, mom.”

Giselle sat in her office chair, putting her new menu idea on the table while answering Catherine’s call, “What a surprise to hear you calling me!”

Catherine softly laughed, “Am I that cold to you?”

Giselle laughed it off, “No. But really, why do you call?”

Catherine stayed quiet for a little bit. Her silence had gotten Giselle to feel anxious.

The Luna asked, “Mom, what’s wrong?”

Catherine heavily sighed. The omega hesitantly said, “Giselle, let’s have lunch!”

“O-okay?” Giselle raised an eyebrow. If it was only a lunch together, then why did Catherine have to be this hesitant?

There must be something more to this.

“Would you like to come to my restaurant?” Giselle asked.

“No! Let’s have lunch at my place then,” Catherine shrugged it off.

“Okay, I’ll be coming. See you then!”

Giselle hung up the phone. The Luna stared at her black screen, feeling anxious out of nowhere.
