Chapter 26: No scent

“Well, well, what do we have here?”

That was a strange man. Giselle had never seen him before.

He had dark brown hair, narrowed eyes, unshaven jawlines; his tone sounded amused; his eyes flared bright red. 

He was an Alpha!

She looked at his shirt. It had blood splashed on it. She did not think it was his. Highly chance it was Marcus’. But there was no Marcus’s scent on him. So, it was safe to say that Marcus was safe.

Giselle felt relief at the thought.

Giselle sat on the floor. Her shaking had lessened as she saw the strange man coming up to her. This alpha had no scent at all. It was odd. She had never heard of any wolves who did not have scents.

“Who…who are you?”

Giselle gulped, asking the strange alpha.

Her wolf was grunting. Her wolf's caution mode had been reducing. Yet, it was still on alarm, obviously. But it had calmer than before. Maybe it was because her wolf had known her mate was not in danger, but her.

Was he from the Bailey’s pack?
