Chapter 43: Don't leave me now

Marcus was clearly unforeseen this. He was taken aback by her suggestion.

“What do you mean?” Marcus asked back.

He seemed to stiffen up by Giselle's question. All of sudden, unexplainable fear crept inside of Marcus. He did not expect Giselle to say this. He had agreed to try to work things out with her. He really meant it. He was making an effort to do it.

Not gonna lie, Marcus had even thought that he could do it. Eventually, he would not be grieving about Tina like this anymore. His heart would be free someday. And when the day came, he would make amendments to Giselle. He would try to love the omega the way he had loved Tina.

However, although Giselle was the one who had suggested that they should try, she did not think it necessary anymore.

“I’m sorry for what I had said. I suggested we should try first, but now, I’m the one who runs away from it. Still, Marcus, it would be the best.”
