That's the Alpha for you. He never believes me, Catherine said to Leora, a hint of sarcasm flashing in her eyes.

"Taken the words right out of my mouth. What's more for me to say?"

All Catherine wanted now was to leave the estate and stop wasting her time on meaningless explanations because no matter what she said, Hansen would never believe her.

"Catherine Zyla, are you defying me as your Alpha?" In Hansen's eyes, Catherine wasn't fit to be his mate, let alone the Luna of the Silverspring Pack.

"Think whatever you want," Catherine snapped, at the end of her rope. "If you believe I've defied your orders, feel free to kill me. Do you think I'm oblivious to it? You always thought I was unworthy of being Silverspring Pack's Luna.

Back then, when you were gravely injured and your wolf had disappeared, none of those pampered daughters from the major packs even bothered to check on you. I stayed in Silverspring Pack for two years, taking care of you and Old Mr. Hurst without earning a single penny. I wasted two years of my youth, and I won't waste any more time on you!"

Leora was pleased to see Catherine finally venting her grievances. At least you got that off your chest. Otherwise, keeping it all insid uld have been unbearable.

That's right. As it turns out, a werewolf can't be too gentle. A gentle werewolf will only be bullied! Catherine decided that from now on, she'd be a rude and unapologetic werewolf. No one would push her around anymore.

"Are you done?"

Both Hansen and Cain were puzzled by why Catherine felt her time had been wasted. After all, he'd given her a bank card with a monthly one million-dollar allowance, had the butler send her designer clothes and bags every season, and even arranged for her uncle's medical expenses. Now, even in bond dissolution, he gave her a substantial amount of assets-enough to ensure she never wanted for anything. He couldn't believe that despite having done more than enough, she still felt wronged. This woman is seriously greedy!

You've truly surprised me. I never thought you could be so greedy!"

"Are we close, Alpha? Who do you think you are to judge me? I've been your Luna for two years; have we met more than a dozen times?"

"Shut up!" Hansen's lips thinned with fury, knowing that Catherine wasn't entirely wrong in some respects.

He stared into her stubborn, clear, and bright eyes and couldn't understand how a woman so full of vanity and lies could have such pure eyes.

Yes, he was grateful Catherine didn't shun him during the time he lost his wolf. Although he didn't like her, he wouldn't have minded her background as a maid if she had been meek. He had more than enough money to support her. However, this woman had caused trouble time and again, and now she wouldn't even bother to pretend anymore, finally showing her true colors. He should have felt relieved, but seeir er sign the bond dissolution agreement, he felt like a punch that landed on nothing, leaving him powerless.

Catherine's eyes were filled with anger and unwillingness. Hansen didn't know her at all; he wasn't a good mate for her, and she wouldn't allow herself to continue staying at the estate for him to trample her dignity.

Glee filled Caitlin's eyes as she watched the pair argue and, as if adding fuel to the fire, said, Zyla, are you in such a hurry to leave because you've already found someone else?"

Hansen's face grew colder as he locked his gaze on Catherine, his eyes filled with suspicion.

"And what does it have to do with you," Catherine sneered, noticing the scrutiny in his eyes.

Her arrogance infuriated the Alpha, and his eyes filled with anger. "You'd better explain yourself clearly!"

Catherine glanced at the clothes on the floor. "I have nothing more to say. I don't want anything from the Silverspring Pack anymore; you can have it all back." She had only taken a few inconspicuous items and left the designer bags and jewelry behind.

However, Hansen didn't bother himself with the clothes on the floor, his eyes boring into her. "The pack doesn't need your charity."

"Is that so?"

Hansen's gaze grew cold as he stared at her intently.

On the side, Caitlin's eyes lit up as she crossed her arms, ready to enjoy the show.

Catherine, on the other hand, stood her ground. Then, as if making a firm decision, she slowly began unbuttoning her shirt, revealing her delicate collarbone and the hint of curves beneath.

Hansen was stunned, incredulous that she would start undressing herself in front of him. Catherine removed her shirt and threw it on the ground, disdainfully saying, "I almost forgot-this shirt was bought with your money, too."

At the notion that she wanted to walk out of the estate in her birthday suit, he turned grimly. "That's enough, Zyla! I said the Silverspring Pack doesn't need your charity. Put your clothes on and get lost! I don't want to see you again!"

With that, Hansen, in his wolf form, retreated into the house, his back as cold as ever.

Catherine paused in the middle of unclasping her bra. She shrugged, picked up her clothes from the floor, and put them back on before leaving. If it meant completely getting away from Hansen, she shouldn't have cared if she had to run out naked.

Meanwhile, Caitlin watched with jealousy as Catherine put on her clothes, envious of the woman's seductive figure. She hadn't expected a mere maid to have such a sultry body. Angrily, she snapped, "Didn't you hear the Alpha? Put your clothes on and get lost! Were you trying to seduce him by stripping in front of him just now? Don't forget that you're just a lowly maid, and the Alpha will never fall for you! Even if you're his soulmate, major packs still need to consider their Luna's strength."

After dressing, Catherine packed the clothes she had bought with her own money into the shopping bag. She didn't want a single piece of clothing Hansen had bought for her.

She sniffed, deeply envious of werewolves who had families. Every time she was bullied, she fantasized about her family descending from the sky to stand up for her. But she knew such fantasies only existed on TV.

Even if she found her family now, it was unlikely they'd ever come to her rescue.

Just then, the roaring of a car engine echoed outside, and a stretch Lincoln limousine drove up to the estate's entrance. Several werewolves in sunglasses stepped out of the car, striding in with a fierce presence but carrying none of the Silverspring Pack's scent.

Hansen instantly became alert and upset that the newcomers audaciously barged into the Silverspring Pack territory. Still in his wolf form, he stood in the main doorway, his fur bristling with vigilance. "Who are you? How dare you trespass on the Silverspring Pack territory?!"

"We apologize for the intrusion, great Alpha," said the leading werewolf guard. "We will compensate for trespassing on your pack, but we have come today to escort Miss Zyla home."

With that, the guards, unfazed by Hansen's warning, knelt on one knee before Catherine. "We've come to take you home, Miss Zyla!" the leader announced.

Hansen squinted in response, wondering which pack these guards belonged to, to kneel before Catherine like she was some supreme being.

Now?Calm down, Leora. If you lunge at her now, we'll be the ones suffering later.Catherine sensed Leora's fury and acknowledged her own inability to confront the major pack's werewolves. She was about to leave Silverspring Pack anyway, and it was best to avoid any trouble."Well then, I wish you a wonderful night," Catherine thought back to her night with Hansen. To be honest, it wasn't all that great. Overall, she thought the alpha's skills in bed were quite lacking and needed improvement.Rolling her eyes, she turned and went to the walk-in closet to pack her things, quickly filling a suitcase."That suitcase belongs to Silverspring Pack, doesn't it? As a maid, you don't have the right to use such an expensive item. I order you to find a bag to pack your things in."Soon, Catherine found a shopping bag in the closet. With a dismissive smirk, she asked, "May I use this bag then, Miss Liddell?"Then, she crouched down to open the suitcase when she heard Caitlin get out of bed. "I ne

Caitlin sneered and glanced disdainfully at the bowed Catherine."Her apology lacks any sincerity. In the Bloodstone Pack, a wolf who makes a mistake must kneel to apologize."Catherine's anger flared at Caitlin's demand. Wolves only kneeled to an Alpha they truly respect; Caitlin had no right to make such a demand. Is she looking for trouble? How dare she humiliate you like this?! Leora seethed, her anger evident.Catherine turned to Hansen, hoping to gauge his stance. Technically, she was still the Luna of the Silverspring Pack, and she shouldn't e to kneel to apologize."Kneel." Hansen was aware of Caitlin's arrogance, but he saw no harm in having Catherine kneel. With no other pack members around, it wasn't a significant issue.Catherine locked her gaze on Hansen, her resolve firm. "And if I refuse?"Hansen frowned, surprised by Catherine's drastic change that evening. First, she got physical, and now she was refusing to kneel. He felt his authority as Alpha being challenged."Cat

Catherine clenched the pregnancy test result tightly in her hand. "If I were truly pregnant, I wouldn't leave the pack.""True," Caitlin sneered. "After all, a gold-digger like you would never pass up an opportunity like this. You probably dream of giving birth to the Alpha's child, thinking it would secure you some kind of status. But even if you were pregnant, Hansen wouldn't want you. A mere maid like you isn't fit to bear the heir of Silverspring Pack."Catherine quickly turned and walked into the walk-in closet, but Caitlin followed her. "Wait, let me see that paper you just took off the table."As a werewolf, Caitlin was naturally alert. The paper she hadn't managed to glimpse radiated a strong sense of danger."This is my personal business."Catherine gripped the pregnancy test result even tighter. "What, do werewolves from big packs like yours enjoy prying into others' privacy?""Privacy?" Caitlin scoffed. "You're just a maid in Silverspring Pack. What privacy do you have? I'm

'That old she-wolf is obsessed with replacing her son's Luna.' Leora's voice seethed with anger. 'Aren't you the least bit upset about this, Cathay?''Upset? What right do I have to be upset? Besides, it's not worth getting worked up and hurting myself over. We're about to dissolve the bond anyway; the Silverspring Pack will have nothing to do with us after that.'Catherine's eyes flashed with mockery. If this had been in the past, she would have been distressed. But now, she just wanted to leave the Silverspring Pack and live the life she wanted. The beautiful woman gave Catherine a triumphant smile. She had received news from an informant wolf the day before that Hansen was about to dissolve the bond with his Luna. So she had created a fake photo to deceive Catherine. She was confident that Catherine wouldn't be able to distinguish between the authenticity of the photo, and it didn't matter if Catherine told Hansen about it either, for the message she sent was embedded with a comput

July 24th marked their second wedding anniversary. Catherine stared blankly at the date circled in red on her calendar, her heart heavy with mixed emotions.'Two years, and he still hasn't fallen for you! I'm starting to doubt if he's really your destined mate,' Leora's voice echoed in her mind.Leora was Catherine's wolf, a fierce battle wolf. But since Catherine herself avoided solving problems through fighting, no one knew about the battle wolf within her.Catherine remained silent, her hand resting on her belly as she absorbed the pack doctor's words."Congratulations, Luna. You're one month pregnant. Everything looks normal," the pack doctor said with a smile. "Alpha will be very happy to learn the good news.""No, don't tell him!" Catherine blurted out, not wanting Hansen Hurst, the Alpha of the Silverspring Pack, to know just yet. She quickly forced a strained smile and explained, "I want to tell him myself on our anniversary. I want to give him a big surprise. Please keep it a
