A Filthy Mutant

I never expected rainbows and unicorns in my life. And I clearly never expected werewolves. After losing my parents I thought nothing could affect me anymore. No amount of hardships could make me feel helpless. But today, staring into a dark nothing, I felt like calling out for help. I was scared, not of darkness, but of being alone.

“Where is she?”, a voice boomed making me flinch. I couldn’t see anything which might have made my hearing a lot more sensitive. I looked around trying to make out what was happening.

“Is she inside this cage?”, I heard Caleb’s voice. I stood up and slowly moved towards the direction the voice was coming from. Maybe Caleb is back!

“I am here!”, I yelled without thinking.

“There she is.”, the voice said.

“Sir, think about it one more time.”, another voice said. It was a familiar voice yet not recognisable.
