Chapter 3

Viona's POV

In my apartment

I find myself holding the invitation card to my husband's engagement party to his first love, my rival and once close friend.

I looked at the invitation, the feelings I thought I lost years ago in all the bloodshed I caused resurfaced in my mind and the tears I thought dried up fell like streams of water. It hurt so badly my voice choked.

Like that wasn't enough, the requirements of this mission happened to be a must. I appear as Viona Nobel, the eldest daughter of the Levites Pack and the shameless Luna of the Royal pack.

The thought of it alone hurt me so deeply I wished to die, but I have to do this to survive, lest the organization dispose of me.

By 2pm, I was picking out a dress to wear, once that attracted lots of attention as my mission was to be a distraction for a massacre to happen.

I picked a deep blue mermaid gown that matched my eyes, and a snom white fur coat that matched the color of my wolf. The dress complimented my height and figure that everyone who saw me gasped in awe.

By 6pm, I was at the venue, murmurs surrounded me before I could even get inside, that was after the guard checked my invitation for confirmation.

The hall was large and crowded, more lively than my engagement, at that time Nicolas disliked me, seeing me as a reason he was separated from his first love.

As he began falling in love with me, he promised an even grand anniversary celebration, which until now never happened. Looking around the grand hall, amidst the murmurs and scornful gazes.

My mother, the present Luna of the Levites and my brother stood at the second floor, due to their reputation, could not come to me and due to my mission could not go to them, we were like world's apart despite looking at arms length.

So as we're my ladies in waiting, Luna's of other packs under the Royal pack, always flattering me with praises every opportunity they get. Watching their mocking and disdain gazes I smile at myself, for even imagining they would even say hello to me.

Just when I thought my heart was broken enough, Nicolas and his beloved stepped on the podium, in front of the whole crowd, went on one knee and proposed to Flora.

"The only regret in my life is not realizing you were my true mate, I've missed you for four whole years, will you marry me?"

The hall erupted in noise knowing Flora already would say yes which was no surprise as she nodded her head with tears in her eyes.

I stood hidden in the corner of the banquet hall, my heart breaking all over again. He didn't know that those four years he regretted, were years I could never get back.

The gazes became uncomfortable as I excused myself to the restroom.

As I was leaving the hall Nicolas took the mic as his voice echoed in the entire hall.

"I would like to thank each and everyone of you for being here, especially my ex wife Viona"

Immediately he called my name, the hall was pin down silent, of course I was the center of attention, that was my purpose for coming and for choosing such an outfit, but being called this way made me uncomfortable.

With no choice, I walked up the podium under the loud whispers.

"I congratulate Mr Jones and Miss Smith on their engagement, as it is, I'll be leaving in... About now, so please enjoy your party" I said checking my watch which people began whispering again and immediately. Nicolas' face turned sour, I could also see the smirk Flora was not trying to hide.

Suddenly, Nicolas pulled me by the hand in front of everyone, into a private corner and slammed me against the wall due to his Alpha strength, leaving a crack on the wall with my backbone almost crushed.

"Is this really how you spent the money!?"

His voice was like a roar, I doubt people on the other side couldn't hear us.

"What are you talking about?" Of course I knew what he was referring to, I read the news but I was innocent.

"Are you seriously asking that?"

"Let me explain"I tried to control his wolf with my voice like every Luna does when the Alpha is out of control, but it didn't work, instead he slammed aggressively against the wall again. I could hear the crack from my bone and I believe so could he.

My face paled from pain, only then did he leave me and walk away.

Soon after he left, before I could fully digest the pain, I had clicked his heel. I could already guess who it was, soon enough, Flora came into view.

She smiled at me.

"Stay away from Nicolas and the pack, Would you do that?" She asked nicely, I smiled in response and shook my head.

"I love him, I wouldn't leave him, not so easily, I gave him my kidney, you know that, just want till he finds out and see what he does to you".

I was proud to say that as I saw a bit of panic in her eyes, in the next second.

"Pak...!!"

The slap was so loud, especially as it was beside a hidden microphone. The huge hall suddenly quieted down and everyone footsteps resounded on the empty corridor to see what happened.

Flora was in tears with a swollen cheek and blood dripping from her lips, the scene was self explanatory.

'The Shameless ex wife slapped the white lotus a.k.a husband's first love out of jealousy'

But that was not the case, The hidden truth was.

''White lotus a.k.a Husband's first love slapped herself to an extent she bled, to frame ex Wife's'

But this was the truth no one cared to know.

Suddenly

Pak...!, Pak...!

Nicolas suddenly rushed forward landing two heavy slaps on my face. Everyone gasped in shock and mockery.

Unwilling to take the shame, I rushed out the back door no longer caring about the damned mission.

Bad news spreads like wild fire.

The next day, at the organization, everyone gave me a pathetic look though my face was not as swollen as last night. Thanks to the ice pack I place on my face throughout the night, it was still considerably obvious I was slapped hard

A week later

A news article was published and it was on the hot topic list.

"CEO's shameless ex wife wants to reunited, hashtag gold digger, hashtag spent all the money"

I clicked on the video only to see a press conference held by the company. My mom, brother and uncle were all present.

I quickly tuned to the channel, watching the press conference live with Flora shedding tears at the corner being consoled by some reports.

Flashes of camera were everywhere and questions were asked, one question stood out.

"Mr Jones, is there a possibility you would be taking Miss Nobel back after what she had done?"

"No" He gave a straight forward answer without even thinking twice.

I felt crushed like my stomach was full, I immediately began throwing up all I ate until now.

"Next question, the camera caught you guys in a blind spot, and you guys were there for a while, what were you doing there"

"We happened to meet over there by accident why shopping, she tried to convince me that Flora was lying about everything she said"

Immediately Flora broke down and fainted on the spot making everyone rush towards her in a panic.

"Mr and Mrs Noble, what do you have to say about your eldest daughter's behavior?" A reporter turned to Mark and Vivian, who were also at the scene.

"I have no such daughter, I hereby sever all ties with Viona From thenceforth she is no longer one of the Levites, nor is she a Noblemen".

His declaration stunned everyone, even Flora woke up and fainted again. My mother was speechless as a female. Her role in the pack was to ensure that females behaved in accordance with the rules of the pack, as she had no right to speak in the conference. I can also imagine my brother's face.

He was right, I wasn't his daughter, I was my fathers daughter. Who died without having a son leaving his wife to forcefully mate his twin younger brother to bear a son with the same DNA. Technically I was my dad's only child.

That was why I desperately donated my kidney, so Nick wouldn't die and I wouldn't have to return to my pack as a widow. As Nick was the only royal born of the Royal pack, so he was literally worshipped as the next god of the pack.

When the conference ended, I was still shocked at my Couch. I'm my fathers only child, and because he's no more, my uncle kicked me out of the pack with just words.

"I bundled myself and cried my eyes out, wishing my dad would appear and take me along.

The burden of being a reject both in my pack and in society weight heavily on me

I couldn't take it anymore but who knew I was still important enough for someone to plot my death.

Of course I know who it was, but who would believe me if I spoke up, I just silently disappeared like everyone wished.

If only I had decided my own fate from the beginning I wouldn't have had to lose so much just to enjoy a brief moment of bliss.

The long, polished table gleamed with documents and tablets stacked neatly, surrounded by men and women in tailored suits-his board of advisors, financial officers, and war strategists.Mirage sat at the head, immaculately dressed in charcoal, his expression cold and unreadable as his advisors droned on about quarterly reports, trade routes, and new alliances. To anyone else, he looked the same as always-detached yet in absolute control, every inch the Alpha of Alphas. But inside, he was elsewhere. Not a word of the balance sheets or proposed contracts sank in. His mind burned with a single image: a little girl's laughter, bright as sunlight, spilling across a birthday party. Golden eyes-no, silver, he remembered now, the light had shifted when she'd turned toward the cake. Silver eyes wide with wonder, innocen

Chapter 176 Viona's POV The night air over the Levites pack was rich with pine, smoke, and laughter. The celebration was in full swing: lanterns swayed in the trees, their golden glow mingling with the silver of the moon. Music carried across the open courtyard of the pack house, drums pulsing like a heartbeat while wolves and humans alike danced in a circle around the towering birthday cake that glittered with sparklers. At the center of it all was Ariel, his grin wide as he hoisted Lyra onto his shoulders. My daughter clapped her tiny hands, her giggles rising above the crowd like bells. She leaned forward, pointing eagerly at the glowing cake, while Ariel twirled her around with exaggerated steps. Aria laughed beside them, clapping along with the music, her gown swishing in rhythm. My parents' mate stood nearby, their faces alight with pride as they watched both their son and granddaughter bask in the joy of the evening. It w

Chapter 175 Viona's POV The days that followed the reveal of Lyra's existence were filled with a strange, tender warmth I hadn't felt in years. My parents visited often now, slipping into the estate with the same reverence one might reserve for sacred ground. My mother could barely keep her hands off her granddaughter, weaving ribbons into Lyra's hair, teaching her old songs from our homeland. My father, for all his Alpha sternness, melted into something softer around the child. He would sit on the porch with Lyra tucked against his chest, telling her stories of the stars and the pack's ancestors, his voice rumbling like distant thunder. Ariel was perhaps the most relentless of all. From the moment he met her, Lyra had become his shadow. He showed up with small gifts -wooden toys, shiny pebbles, even a tiny dagger (which I quickly confiscated). He sparred playfully with her in the gardens, lifting her high in the air until

Chapter 174 Viona's POV The morning sunlight streamed through the glass windows of Moonlight Media's headquarters, turning the vast lobby into a shimmering sea of gold. Employees bustled about, whispering excitedly, for it was not every day that my family arrived at the company. I had received the message late the night before-my family was coming. Not just my mother or father, but all of them. I hadn't seen them together in years, not since I'd left the werewolf territories behind to forge my empire. A mix of anticipation and unease coiled inside me as I rode the elevator down to greet them. The doors slid open, and there they were. My father, Jason, stood tall despite the graying of his hair, his Alpha presence still carrying weight even outside the pack's borders. My mother's eyes softened when they met mine, warmth spilling into every line of her face. And beside them, my younger brother Ariel-no longer t

Chapter 173 Viona's POV The invitation arrived in a black envelope, its edges gilded in silver. It was discreetly slipped onto my desk, though I had known to expect it. The Annual Global Media Awards-the most prestigious ceremony in the industry-where every CEO, journalist, and broadcaster of renown gathered to celebrate the year's achievements. My assistant, Mara, lingered by the door, her expression unreadable as I slid a manicured finger beneath the seal and unfolded the heavy parchment. "They'll expect you to attend," Mara said. My lips curved faintly, though the smile didn't quite touch my eyes. "Yes. They always do." This year, however, the event carried a different weight. Not because I was nominated again-though I was, for several categories-but because I had made a decision. It would be my last. --- For six years, I had lived beneath th

Chapter 172 Viona's POV Fame had a strange way of wrapping itself around my life. It came not with the quiet reverence of my pack days but with flashing lights, whispering mouths, and headlines that painted me in colors both flattering and false. By now, six years into my reign as CEO of Moonlight Media, my name carried weight across continents. Humans saw me as the formidable woman who had bridged gaps no one else dared touch. Witches praised my ability to grant them a neutral platform. Even werewolves, who once whispered my name in anger, spoke of me now with reluctant awe. Everyone knew me. But no one truly knew me. My image was carefully crafted: a woman of elegance and precision, untouchable in success, commanding in every word I spoke on public stages. The interviews I granted were rare, my answers polished and sharp. The photos that appeared in glossy magazines showed me in designer gown
