Chapter 104

A loud bang rang out shortly after I slept, startling me from my dream. I sat up, and by inertia, I held Elias's hand tightly. After confirming he was okay, I calmed down. We looked at each other, and Elias's puzzled look confused me.

"Could it be that they have come again?" I trembled; our condition was not suitable for fighting anymore. "How now? Why did they come so quickly?"

Elias stroked my hair; his calm and composed attitude made me feel strange. Elias was the first to react every time they came, but he didn't show any emotion this time. Could it be that yesterday's fever caused him mental problems?

"Do you know that if someone else looked at me with such judgmental eyes, she would die?" Elias glanced at me, a faint smile appearing on his lips. "Someone is coming."

I frowned; I knew that, but why not quickly run away?

"I will help you hide on that rock; we can't fight right now," I say.

Elias stood up thanks to my arm but didn't rush to run away; he conveniently grabbed my hand
