My Mate Loves my Twin

My name is Athena Gamble and I am twenty five years old. Im the maid to a condo and I lived in a shitty complex in the middle of Los Angeles, trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life at twenty five, and now I’m asking myself how did I get here? When I mean here I mean between twiddle Dee and twiddle dum a.k.a my ex mates best warriors in front of a house that I promised myself I would never return to.

I guess your asking yourself the same thing? It's quite simple really, I'm not normal, I'm actually a werewolf. Yea yea yea your probably think I'm crazy because they don't exist , well sorry to burst your happy bubble WE DO EXIST!! We just hide really well when I mean well our packs usually live in the middle of no where. We usually don't mix with humans much, I guess I'm the exception seeing that I have been living with humans for the past eight years, until these two came and carried me kicking and screaming all the back to the pack literally, and yup you heard right eight years that's what happens after one gets rejected.

I'll give you little taste if my life, I belonged to the Shadow Pack in Hawaii which is the strongest pack in all of the US , and the most respected. I grew up there when I was little with a happy family a mom a dad two older brothers Chase and Zack and my identical twin sister Anna. I had everything a girl could want. My family was super close especially me and my twin I mean what do you expect we are twins! I also had my best friend Xavier Smith the soon be alpha. We told each other everything and I mean everything from me telling him my horrid stories to him telling me he's in love with my sister Anna. I'm not going to lie and say it didn't hurt a little because deep down I always had feelings for him and maybe wished a little that he would be my mate at the time. Now if you ask me every time I hear his name I want to punch something. Even when he did grow the balls to ask my sister out and they stared dating we were still as close as siblings, but the all changed the day I turned 16 and him 18 when we found out we were mates.

To keep this short and simple he rejected me for my twin telling me " I just don't love you, I love her always have always, you will always be like a little sister to me and I will always protect you like one but we just can't be mates because I can't love you like I do Anna. I want Anna to be my Luna, wife, and the mother of my children not you Athena. So, I Xavier Smith reject you Athena Gamble has my mate" and he walked away like nothing happened while I was laying broken on a beach. Ugh asshole. No I didn't run away like most of you thought well not in the beginning anyway but I'm getting there. You are probably wondering well what about Anna's mate well he died she felt it when she was fourteen it was like a snap in her heart and thats when she knew her mate had passed away she never got to meet him. That's probably why it was so easy for her to fall for my mate.

I returned home cried during the nights and in pain while he was having sex with my sister Anna and walked around like a zombie during the day watching them love each other while I was in the background trying to stitch my wolf and my heart together again. I stayed when he announced her as Luna I stayed when he proposed to her I stayed when they got married I was even the maid of honor all while putting on a fake smile on my face and trying not to die. I left finally the night he marked her as his it was the worst pain I have gone through I wouldnt wish it upon my worst enemy, well maybe Xavier but he deserves it, one week after the weeding she came back and they annouced to the pack that she was pregnant with their first child, he did this all while looking into my eyes I though I saw regret and pain when he looked at me but it quickly went away so I must have imagined it, and thats when I knew I couldn't stay there I mean can you blame me my mate was all ready building a life with someone else they were having a child for godsakes. I decided to break all ties with the pack and my family and left to live with the humans, because that is the last place they would have looked. I just couldn't bare with the pain anymore I left on my eighteenth birthday.

But now I'm back to where it all began but not because I wanted to but because I had too for my sisters funeral.
