    # Chapter 145*Amaya pov*I hadn’t raised my voice at him before. I was always calm, always gentle with him. Nyx was already trying her best to keep me steady, whispering in my head that he was still a child. And I knew that. I really did.But every single interaction with him—every look, every cold reply, even the silence—was driving me to the edge. His steps faltered. He slowly turned to face me, eyes blank, then raised his right hand and pointed.“Over there.”I followed the direction of his finger and spotted a section decorated with soft, glowing lanterns hanging from tall bamboo poles. There were kids his age scattered around, some sitting on hay bales roasting marshmallows over a fire pit, others writing little wishes on paper slips and tying them to the trees. It was quiet and calmer than the rest of the festival. Peaceful. No loud music, no flashing lights—just the crackle of fire and soft chatter.“That’s where I want to go,” he said flatly.Eli wasn’t one who loved socializ

    # Chapter 135 **Dante’s POV** My grip tightened around the flowers as I waited outside her office. For almost three years since she left, I had been living under the radar. Amaya was doing well for herself — I could tell. She was literally everywhere. News. Interviews. She was a rising sensation, a new hope for society. People looked up to her. Even pack members who once condemned her would make subtle comments, asking about her, wishing for her return. I didn’t pay them any mind. But there were many nights I found myself reaching for my phone, dialing her number, desperate just to hear her voice. And every time, I had to remind myself — I made a promise to get better first. For both our sakes. So now that I was finally reaching out, I just hoped she wouldn’t push me away. “Hey, princess,” I said, my voice cracking a bit from the mix of emotions swirling inside me.
