Amaya POV

I had been staring at the blank canvas for hours, debating whether or not to test myself, to see if I could actually paint again.

With Dante and Eli out, the house felt unusually quiet, and for once, I didn’t know what to do with myself. Too much free time had never been my problem before. Maybe that’s why I decided to use it as an opportunity.

The brushes, the paints, the canvas… they had all been waiting for me, untouched for years. Every time I tried before, the moment I picked up the brush, my heart would start racing, panic flooding in until I had to stop.

But things had changed in the past month. Dante. Eli. Even me. Slowly, painfully, it all started to shift. I had found the courage to sing again, to let my voice break through. So maybe, just maybe… I could find the courage to paint again too.

Taking a deep breath, I dipped the brush into paint. My hand trembled as I brought it to the canvas.

I had only managed to drag the first stroke before my chest squeezed so tigh

Amaya POV“Five, four, three…”The countdown echoed around the reception hall, everyone’s voices mixing with laughter and cheers as I tightened my grip on the bouquet. I had swapped my heavy wedding gown for a sleek, elegant dress that let me actually move without worrying about tripping over layers of fabric. Now I stood in the center of the dance floor, the supposed single women behind me, ready to catch.“Two… one!”I tossed the bouquet high over my shoulder. It flew in slow motion, but just as one woman was about to catch it, Cyrus leapt out of nowhere, snatching it mid-air.The crowd gasped in unison. A few people muttered under their breath—even Dante gave him a weird look. Why would he do that? But Cyrus ignored every single stare. He walked straight toward the center of the dance floor, bouquet in hand, and without hesitation, grabbed a mic from the band.“I’m sorry, Amaya,” he said as his gaze met mine. “But I have to do this.”My brows knitted in confusion, and I couldn’t he

Amaya POVFor a second, I just stared at him in silence.“Are you kidding me right now?” I hissed, glancing at the twins as Matteo’s cries softened into little hiccups. “You nearly gave me a heart attack—for this?”“Yes!” he whispered fiercely, throwing his hands out. “Because I’m freaking out, Amaya! I am freaking out!”“Why are…” I started to yell, but the sight of Suri twitching in her crib reminded me, and I dropped my voice fast, gritting my teeth. “Why are you freaking out?”He groaned, dragging both hands down his face before pacing like a caged wolf. “I don’t know… how the fuck am I supposed to know? This was supposed to be easy. I’ve been planning this for months and now I can’t even look him in the eyes without feeling so nervous… oh, I need water.”With that, he walked over to the table, grabbing a bottle. “This could destroy our relationship,” he muttered before guzzling it down.“It already has,” I said casually. He heard that. Mid-sip. And then started to choke. His face

Amaya POV“You look so beautiful,” Briella said in awe while I stared at my reflection in the mirror.I was in a big white wedding dress, my hair styled up, and the necklace he had given me resting against my collarbone. This was my dream dress — the one I never got to wear the first time we got married. Now, staring at my reflection after all these years, the weight of it hit me, and tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.“Don’t tell me you’re going to cry. You’ll ruin your makeup,” Briella said, sounding so genuinely concerned it made me snort, fighting back a laugh.“I’m fine,” I whispered, smoothing a hand down the dress, feeling the satin under my fingers. “It’s just… I never thought I’d get this moment back.”Briella’s eyes softened and she gently placed a hand on my shoulder. “You deserve it. Both of you do.”Her words only made my chest ache more, but in the best way. I turned slightly, catching sight of the twins in their tiny white outfits in the crib beside me — Matteo al

Dante POV“Why don’t you want the nanny to stay over?” Amaya asked as I helped prepare her for bed. It’s been two months since the twins were born. Although Amaya insisted she was fully healed, I wasn’t taking my chances with her. We had hired extra help after going through extensive screening — one as the twins’ nanny and one in charge of Amaya, though I still oversaw most of it.“And where would they sleep?” I asked, fluffing the pillow before placing it over her lap so she could lean comfortably. She pressed her lips together already knowing the answer. “You are overworking yourself,” she replied instead, shifting against the headboard. “Let’s just return to the pack. At least there you are surrounded by people you trust and will have more help,” she murmured, her hand resting on her belly as if she was still unconsciously protecting the twins even in her healing state.“It’s not ready yet,” I said, kissing her forehead before she could argue. “And besides, I’m not complaining.”Sh

  • My Mate, Please Let Me Go   Bonus Chapter 6

Amaya POV When I opened my eyes, the first thing I felt was intense pain in my lower stomach, making it hard to even breathe. For a second, I didn’t know where I was—just the white walls and the steady beeping sound—but then it all slammed into me. The contractions, the screaming, and the way everything had gone crazy and terrifyingly dark. I felt a weight on the side of my bed and turned my head weakly, only to find Dante seated next to me, his head resting on the edge of the bed. A weak smile formed on my lips remembering how panicked he had been. Even in the haze I was in, I could still see the terror in his eyes. “Dante…” I croaked. He shifted, like he half thought he was dreaming, then suddenly bolted upright so fast it startled me, his eyes widening. “Amaya…?” He breathed my name like a prayer. His eyes were bloodshot, dark circles under them, his hair a mess, even his shirt was wrinkled. In a flash, he was out of the chair and on his knees beside the bed. “You’
