"What brings you here today, Alex?"

I took a deep breath. "I'll like to get on birth control."

After Ryan had told me about the rogue problem I had started to think about our future and how this war could affect us. In the moment of him telling me that I could possibly be pregnant it didn't sound like a bad idea. But since figuring out that I am not, I wanted to take some precautions so that I could stay that way.

I had spent hours and hours on whether I should do this or not and I had finally decided that I should get on birth control. I didn't know what the outcome would be after the war and I wouldn't want to chance getting pregnant and have to raise him or her all on my own. On top of that I wanted to be married and in a stable position before a baby even crossed my mind.

Once I had decided on this I had right away made a call to my doctor to set up an appointment. I had left out the house before Ryan had woken up. I knew that if I didn't he would want to drive me and I
