Chapter 38

When Simon arrived at the house, he looked for Luna and Ella. He caught Seth playing basketball on the edge of their garden. He turned to him as he dribbled the ball.

“Why are you in a hurry, Uncle? Is there a problem?” Seth asked.

Seth stopped dribbling the ball as Simon approached. “Have Ella and Luna arrived yet?”

Seth nodded. “They haven’t come home since you all left this morning and left me here,” Seth said.

Simon looked at his wristwatch, then took the phone into his pants pocket and called Luna again, but she did not answer.

“Call Ella,” said Simon.

Seth released the ball and picked up the phone in the faraway chair. He immediately dialed Ella’s number, but it just kept ringing.

“Uncle, Ella doesn’t answer,” Seth said, then approached Simon. “Is there a problem, Uncle?”

Simon glanced at Seth. “Earlier, I called them before lunch, but they did not answer me. I don’t know if they are on the field now. ”
