Trying To Sort Things Out

After speaking harshly to Alpha Cowell, Sage angrily stormed out of his chamber, even unconsciously hitting his dazzled father on his way out.

He now understood better why his father had spoken to him in such anger. Just like his supernatural powers, the Alpha's heart was a no-go zone. When he had his mind made up on a matter of interest, he seemed to lock his heart and have the key thrown away, far from where any mortal could find it.
