Clary woke with a groan as what felt like a herd of some monster stampeded through her head. She kept her eyes firmly shut, seeing the red glow of what the midday sun through her closed eyelids was probably, deciding she wanted no part of it! She rolled over and buried her head under the pillow, trying to think through the pounding, wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep and forget everything that was going on, it seemed her sister had other ideas though.

"Get up Clary," Adira said, barging into the room. She pulled the pillow off her head where she was trying to hide and tossed it aside, glaring down at her. "Open your eyes and drink this," she said shaking her until she opened her eyes, determined to stop her from sinking into the bottom of another bottle.
