Aria.

The cafeteria buzzed with noise and clicking trays, some laughter could be heard behind me and chairs scrapped across the hall.

“Did you notice that Mia and Tasha didn’t speak to us at all during classes.” Lila said as we shuffled slowly through the lunch line as I was feeling pains on my shoulder.

“I think it was because Kai scared them off. Thank the moon goddess. Because I have a lot on my plate now. Literally.” I said, as I looked down at my tray where I had dumped every piece of meal I found interesting. If there was a good side to attending Ravencrest, it was their awesome food.

“And how’s your shoulder? Is it healing yet?” Lila asked as we grabbed a bottle of water and started to make our way to our corner of the cafeteria.

I was just about to respond when I felt a hand grab my arm strongly and I flinched, my tray wobbling as I managed to keep my hands steady.

“Let’s go.” I frowned in anger before I even looked up.

Kai.

“You know you can just ask nicely.” I said as

I’m not #TeamAria and her whole taking down the kingdom at all! I’m #TeamKai&Aria! I’m ready for sparks and development between the two! I’m ready for the coldness and bitterness to thaw and sweet moments to rise and the two get to know each other and start to fall for each other instead of just war

Aria. If arrogance had a shrine, it would be built right here in the middle of Ravencrest history curriculum. The History class was just some sort of bragging course. I sat in the third two of the east side of the lecture hall, beside me was Maya who was scribbling down notes like her life depended on it. She was born in Ravencrest of course she knew everything related to the pack. The classroom had a gold engraved plaque of Ravencrest “glorious” victories. And the one closest to me read: The Silverwood Conquest: Year 2025, Victory Secured in Four Days, led by Alpha Magnus Blackthorn. I rolled my eyes so hard that I could almost see in back of my skull as the voice of the teacher sounded across the classroom. “Now our rise to power…” Mr Granger, the history teacher said from the front of the class, looking proudly at the students. “…was not inevitable, it was necessary. Ravencrest has always been the strongest of the regional packs. And it’s not just in its military prowess, but

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 23

Aria. The sun lowered in the sky, casting a long golden shadow across the empty playground. The sound of laughter from the kids faded one by one and the low hum of parents pulling out of the parking lot. I stood off to the side, arms folded and watching him. Kai moved from car to car helping a little boy buckle his seatbelt in the back seat, and then lifted another girl into her mother's SUV like she weighed nothing. I watched one of the moms smile at Kai and placed a palm over his shoulder, muttering thank you before she went into the driver's seat. Kai was smiling, genuinely and it looked so out of place that I didn’t know what to do with the feeling curling in my stomach. Kai headed towards another car where one of the boys leaned out his dads car window, waving a tiny hand. “Bye, Coach Kai!” He said as Kai waved back. “Make sure you practice those sprints tomorrow, Leo!” He said as the kid beamed with joy and threw him a salute as the car rolled out of the driveway. The pa

Aria. “This is some sort of joke.” I muttered, crossing my arms around my chest as Kai held out his black helmet in front of me. He tilted his head with that signature smirk of his. “No it’s not. Get on.” “No way in hell am I getting on that death machine again.” I snapped, staring at that ridiculous sleek motorcycle parked in a private space just outside the school gates. Kai took a slow step towards me. “We’ve been through this before, little omega. Either get on the bike or I’ll carry you onto it myself.” And he would. I knew Kai. With a groan, I snatched the helmet from his hand and shoved it on my head. “Good girl.” He muttered before he buckled the straps clearly amused. I glared at him from the visor as I adjusted my glasses and he laughed. He got on it first, the engine already rumbling beneath him like he was ready to take off. I stood there a bit longer than necessary, maybe hoping he would forget I existed as I looked at the school again. “Get on.” Kai ordered immed

Aria. I had always loved the library. It smelled like old paper and the silence was the best part of it. Most of the school had cleared out, our wolves had gone back to the dorms while the others had duties to attend to. I adjusted my back over my shoulder as I stepped inside to look for Kai. I glanced around the rows of bookshelves as I ran my fingers through them walking down the aisle. Then I saw them. Lila and that damn Raven! Elliot sat in front of Lila who was explaining something to him. And he nodded in understanding. I saw her tuck her hair behind her ears and Elliot followed her movement like a hawk. I rolled my eyes so hard that I could almost see my brain inside my head. Ugh. Turning away in disgust from the nightmare of a romance before me, I finally spotted him. Kai Blackthorn. He was slouched across the table, one leg stretched out like he owned the damn library. Well technically he did. His golden hair was messier than before, slightly falling over his forehea

  • My Quarterback Alpha   Chapter 19

Aria. The sun cut through Ravencrest courtyard as we made our way into the old stone archway. Lila and I were heading to class after the long talk from Mrs Holt to behave ourselves today. Lila peeled the wrapper off her granola bar as we walked into the busy hallway filled with students who spared us funny glances. But I ignored it as usual while Lila fidgeted a little from the attention. “So..” Lila said, her voice shaking. “You haven’t told me what happened yesterday during lunch with Kai.” “Ugh..” I grumbled as I took the granola bar from her and cut a life before throwing it in my mouth as a student bumped into me and I coughed. “He just introduced me to his stupid raven friends.” I said, as I chewed the granola before I pressed my fingers against my shoulder to keep the bandages in place. I had tied it loosely in a rush because I had woken up late. I barely had enough sleep last night. “So what were they like?” “I don’t know. Weird but surprisingly a bit normal. Ther
