Adolphus’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“Half a mile? This is not possible. Even if we have a far better vision than humans, a werewolf can’t see clearly from this distance.” King Raymond remarked, and I smiled.

I looked at the messages sent by Maddie to me before looking up to the screen.

“We need help from any friendly vampire coven in this case.” I said to them in a calm and firm voice.

All of them looked at me immediately.

“What do you mean by that?” Sylvester was the one who questioned me first.

They all were shocked, but curiosity was evident on their faces.

“The unknown poison that we found in their wounds is vampire’s saliva.” I told them in the same voice, but my voice became serious in the end.

Silence fell in the room again.

Vampires’ saliva is not a deadly poison for us, but if it mixes with wolfsbane, the combination is deadly, just like a slow poison.

“The main question is why their wolves didn’t feel the poisoning?” Onyx asked with a grim expression on his face.
